Whats your favorite or 3 top intros, could be start of a music track, tv show, radio show, sport team chant etc

I'm going to start with what I think is the best cartoon intro of all times, the original ThunderCats intro. As a kid used to love the sound effect you can hear at 0:06. I just do not understand why this has never made it to the movies, ThunderCats the movie would be so cool!

That would be the beginning of Orion by Metallica. I am not going to provide a video, because damn it, people should know already!

Man, that is a tough one. Off the top of my head, Pink Floyd "Time" (listening to it in 5.1 surround is surreal), Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher" and a tv show intro that had me pulling the covers up over my face would be the intro to Unsolved Mysteries. I'm sure there are hundreds of others, but those are the ones that first hit me. Cool thread. S&F.

This makes me shudder coffee all over myself when I hear it. That's followed by mad flailing to turn up the volume on the correct device followed by screaming and cussing as I hurridly rectify accidentally changing the channel. It's worth the stress though...

As far as transitions, the best that comes to mind is the voice to sax in "the Gunners Dream" on Pink Floyds The Final Cut.
If you listen at 2:10 you hear it, but the song itself if pretty strong.

Intros, I agree Orion by Metallica is epic.

Disclaimer.

Do not click this vid if you plan to get stuff done today. If ever there was a reason to spend a day on your knees with an air guitar...

Hell yeah! Battle of the Planets! I totally forgot about this show. I think I still have some puzzles and books from Battle of the Planets. Off to youtube to find some episodes.
