Of course it is. Because again, the prices were deliberately fixed to make people beg for it. Why would capitalists want to sabotage their own system
by making prices so high people are begging for socialism? Ridiculous! They wouldn't!
I feel like you are missing the point. The problem isn't socialized health care. Do you not understand that healthcare is highest per capita cost in
the US over all else? That the people controlling it, if they took an actual universal health care model, that it would not earn as much as they do
You have very wealthy socialist states with higher standard of living than the US, there are also some that are disasters. Saying this is some long
play to instil socialism is beyond short sighted, it's stupid.
Why would capitalists rig a system? Well, it's called government lobbying. Capitalism worked great in the beginning, but as soon as business quashed
smaller businesses and used government regulation and other means to make it impossible to compete via startup, things went down hill.
Capitalism works with small companies, large resources, trade, etc. And entrepreneurial spirit. Once you start changing the landscape capitalism
doesn't work well anymore. We are talking about a slow development that happened over a hundred years while people pushed for oligarchical control
over the markets. In other words, this wasn't done for turning your country into a socialist state, it was done for legacy, power and money. Simple as
