Ontopic: This is pretty interesting stuff. I don't remember where I read it, but I've seen this before (not the article, but the idea that brain size doesn't correlate with intelligence). It makes sense though. It really comes down to brain composition. Which SHOULD stay consistent (percentage wise) as the brain increases or decreases in size, meaning that a bigger brain should be more intelligent. But if you have different percentages of brain matter in the brain, it can skew that prediction.

Here's something I forgot to mention...You rarely see a dead
crow in the road or on the highway even though they fly the
nuts down to be cracked by moving vehicles & they will eat
off carcasses. My crow bossed the cat, dogs & parrot around.
He was also the best "watch dog" I ever had with his warning
someone or something out of the norm was approaching.

I am very glad he releases them after a few months, but to the crow, being intelligent, it must seem a matter of life and death to get the food if the guy lets him go hungry to prepare for the test.

Imagine for a moment being captured by a huge being that locks you up and starves you then leaves food in a hard to retrieve place...to test your intelligence. Not a fun thing for the subject who does not know if it will live or die in the cage.
