I keep searching for a poem written by Phage; I haven't seen it yet, but I bet his prose about VD would be one to remember!

I think we should just refer to Valentine's Day as Valentine's Day and not VD.

I really don't want to imagine Phage's prose about VD thank you very much.

The Olympics

I really like the Olympic games but when I've heard that many construction workers had died building this whole thing and lots of man and woman not paid for their work over there. And also looking at our so called economic crisis I could let it to express my feelings about this..

It's an okay poem, but you do realize it can't really be considered by the judges because-

Any kind or flavor you want, any length as well. The ONLY content rule is that it MUST be about one of the following:

1. The ATS Community
2.Valentine's Day

I know, I'd have loved to write about a topic of my choosing but unfortunately those are the rules. Just a heads up, you still have time to post another submission or three! ;D

I went on vacation and thought surely there would be a winners announcement and a new contest when I came home....

Yes, I've been wondering what is taking so long too.

I realize that people are busy and that judging something so subjective can be a delicate process, but what gives? Can we at least have an update as to the status of the contest?

Sorry guys, I'm on hiatus for a little bit with the writing contests. Just too much in RL to be able to focus on the contests at the moment.

I will see if I can get this one judged and announce by the end of the week though.

I am working on a special project however for a new writing contest style, that I will be presenting to you all in April.

Pretty sure I'm not gonna win this one, but I'm looking forward to whatever you have in store for us.

Alrighty then. Contests with no winners.

May I suggest, politely, that if ATS cannot do something simple like wrap up a basic contest, then they should suspend holding contests until they get better organized.

Just a thought.

I was thinking the same thing.

Maybe a redo is in order. I was also thinking that the poetry contest winners be tagged as a 'Poet' as opposed to 'Writer'.

I, for one, would like some type of closure for this contest. If tenth is disinclined or unable to judge the contest, perhaps the judging duties could be passed off to a panel of member to decide upon?

Or we're all losers that have been swept into a cyber dumpster.

But making Haiku into some sort of competition seems wrong somehow. How do you judge the beauty of a rose compared to a tulip?

I write Haiku, verse, stream of consciousness, screenplays, short stories for the sheer enjoyment of the creative process.

You have probably approaching a hundred posts since you announced you "hiatus", have changed your avatar, but have no time to judge the contest or give us an update?
