Why so serious? How many here have ever gotten that response whenever discussing events, threats, impacts in the world as they are today??

It's gettin annoying. While online maybe the gross number of persons participating in conspiracy and philantrophic concerns(?), overall my impression of society is a move toward empathy and even increasing ridicule of whistleblowers and those who share concern for what's being perpetrated upon humanity, just two example would be, whats being done with Americans' tax dollars, and what drones are increasingly doing to countless lives for decades now.

No, I won't get into such above examples into much detail, as there are already ample discussions dedicated to them. My concern -as what I would like to think of myself as a fun, well-rounded, stable person of balanced endeavors - is the observance of growing instillment of indifference in society, which starts from early age with childhood full of sugar, high fructose, caffeine, and loads of for lack of a better word, 'manic-depressive' TV & media program. I've never seen kids that are such emotional wrecks these days, the mood swings, tantrums are so obvious and become worse over the years. There must be an ATS topic on the percent of youth on mental drugs. It's alarming. Add to that, the whole 'fun' thingy of sharing your 'pics', 'selfies', 'mood' and 'status updates' from every you go with your smartphone radiation device!

With all these 'fun' distractions, it's then no surprise, society on the whole has become 'reactive' and totally suggestible, distracted, and all on the same same page (facebook) as a group.. think. Ie, highest invasion rate, distracted nation of drivers in the world, highest gun homicides in all the 'developed' world, most obese alongside mexico in the world, highest HIV rate in the 'developed' world, possibly the highest lethal police brutality... and the list goes on - some development, a third of America on welfare, permanently unemployed, and growing and all. Plus, leave it to us to drop bombs all over the world more than any other peoples in the world, and then go global with the pretense of permanently policing for world peace!

Dire issues at hand... from 9/11 thru all the bloody wars abroad and the one bloody massacre after the next, and only a trivial fraction of society concerned or *taking action* to prevent the next and the next.. where is this all heading? Sounds like a fun direction to me. *not*

Then again, we can't do anything to stop America's insanity, right, so why let it drive us crazy? Just forget about it and go out and have some FUN before the utter collapse!

Most people don't care beyond what directly affects them because they are incapable of drawing the lines to see how does affect them.

Thomas Sowell calls it stage one thinking. They can do direct cause and effect really well, but don't ask them to go beyond A leads to B and B leads to C, D, E which in turn will cause E, F, G, H, I , and J which in turn ... Asking them to extrapolate beyond that A to B level is usually pointless because they won't see the connection, not until it touches them and maybe even then.

Your thread is not normal in a conspiracy site. I suppose it is a conspiracy issue though...so you are ok.

Hey OP, take it easy. Youre taking things too seriously. *looks around nervously*

Interesting topic. May actually be better suited under "Deconstructing Disinformation".

Its a way of dismissing anyone's concerns.

^ Now why didnt I think of that!

Indeed, the dismissal as 'too serious' serves as a blanket 'disinformation' of conspiracy theories

I mean, its not just some conspiracy where society is accepting refined sugar mixed with molasses as a raw/organic brown sugar, but one after another 'conspiracy' where multiple to millions of innocent civilians are harmed/poisoned/killed time and time again.

I think you hit the nail on the head with your last statement. "we can't do anything to stop it".....
The insanity abounds.

I believe the USA is backing the rebels in Syria. We get reports of those rebels include members of Al-quiyda, beheading christians. So we back al quidya now and be headings

Reports of U.S. service members having their homes foreclosed upon while serving overseas. Congress can't seem to stop it but they can vote to give illegal aliens drivers licenses and health care and housing.

We almost all know GMO's are bad yet they make it illegal to label them in our foods.

How many unemployed yet congress won't extend unemployment benefits, votes in obamacare and exempts themselves

The list goes on and on and no I do not believe we can stop it or fix it.
I could start a new political party but it would be the "hell I don't know party"...How you gonna fix topic x...my response, "hell I don't know"....

So yeah I think we do get caught up in ourselves because we have no control over anything outside our own little world, and they are taking that away with the bans on raw milk and growing our own food.

Yea but for the most part, isn't it OUR taxpayer dollars that is feeding the growing American War Machine?

In many ways, it is American complacency(sp) that feeds the global terror & permanent state of war, and drive toward weapons beyond mass destruction.

Hey, Joe Rogan, chill tf out!

Another aspect, is American society is too pacified with the constant cycle of new iphones, ipads, vid games, sex toys, porns etc

All part of the master plan folks..............somebody is creating this scene......
I blame the social engineering the gov boys have been engaged in for decades.....
Id say the real advancements in people control have been since ww2.......
today our world s a made up sham....brought to us by the media, and fully vetted to make us react in preplanned ways.....

Great thread. I've noted this a great deal, too. It's rather baffling but sometimes I think the reason why people do this is because they are afraid of having their souls crushed by the realities of the world today.
