The Manhattan Project

I'm kind of new to this, and I wasn't sure where I should post, so I just decided I post here first.
I'm just trying to find out whatever I can about The Manhattan Project. My friend mentioned something about testing people in hospitals without their knowledge, and have been just trying to find more about that. If you know anything at all about the project please feel free to leave a post
