Comet-hunting probe Rosetta about to wake up, zero in and land on a comet Posted by Adonai on January 12, 2014

This month, after 10 years of traveling through our solar system, the first space mission designed to study and deliver a lander on a comet is up for a major milestone. Launched by European Space Agency (ESA) back in 2004, the unique comet-hunter spacecraft "Rosetta" is expected to wake up from its deep-space hibernation mode on January 20 and position itself for a historical rendezvous with Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

Will it work?
Will a electrical discharge destroy it ?
If it does land and establish telemetry connection, what data will provide proof all would agree to ?

Got almost a year to place your bets!

So where does the electric universe come into play?

This is a fact finding mission, analyzing the compounds of the comet.

Proving electric universe theory, or large parts of it, is way beyond the Rosetta mission.

It should be a watershed event for comet science though. There will be an orbiter orbiting the comet for 17 months. Then you have the lander, which will be absolutely awesome. Very much looking forward to it.

Why would an electrical charge destroy it? Nothing like that happened with the Deep Impact mission to comet Temple 1 and there's no reason to think that it would happen this time either. There was absolutely no evidence of electrical activity at all. This is going to be the 4th mission to a comet and second one to have a lander or impactor.

You do realize that the deep impact missions have provided amazing information that answered a lot of questions, and NONE of the predictions made by EC theorists came true.

When a psuedoscience is refuted by hard data which contradicts its theories those theories refuse to die. You should know that by now

There are still people who believe Astrology is an actual science
