Syria or Iran

Take a look at this map and let me know which of these 2 countries would be the most strategic to take next.

I think it would be Syria. It will secure the pipeline to Israel better and it would provide more immediate security for Israel since Syria borders it. Plus, Iran looks to be about 3x the size of Iraq. This would put an enormous strain on the U.S. military. With Syria the U.S. could easily incorporate help from Israel.

But on what basis will the U.S. use to justify a war with Syria?

You know what, don't matter. The U.S. might as well invade Syria and Iran at the same time.
