This has deeply affected me. I've seen other instances of racism. But what I witnessed horrified me.
Your reaction is normal. It's how we all should react and feel.
To simply hate someone just because of the color of their skin?
The hatred is for what that color of skin has come to represent to the the individual. Racism comes with some sick, twisted thinking. Yet the haters
never realize that.
How do you justify that? I don't get it.
They've either been taught to hate, or hate because they are hated. Either way, there is no genuine justification.
Does it make them feel good inside? Make them somehow think they're better ?
No. It makes them feel safe, because they join with others who hate, and it soothes their fears. All hatred is based in fear.
We live in a society that rightly frowns on racism, yet points it out daily in every way possible. In detail. And they justify pointing it out by
saying it's wrong. Yet they continually draw attention to it, and feed it. See where I'm going...? It's a vicious, perpetual, circle.
