Militia Leader Publicly Threatens President: “We Now Have Authority to Shoot Obama”

Mods please move if in the wrong forum but if this one doesn't meet the bar of civil unrest I don't know what does. Won't be too surprised either if this hits the 404 bin in a hurry.

This story left me pretty much speechless though not surprised. I wondered how long it would take before someone went off the deep end and started with the public threats to the POTUS.

Militia Leader Publicly Threatens President: “We Now Have Authority to Shoot Obama”

In a post on his Facebook page, Christian American Patriots Militia leader Everest Wilhelmsen has claimed authority under the U.S. Constitution to take matters into his own hands.

His willful violations and alienation of our Constitution, constant disregard for our peaceful protests and corruption of all the three branches of government, (i.e., rogue and illegitimate government), reveal the dictator that he is. Obama and his co-conspirators disrespect our Constitution (constitutional rule of law) and abuse the American people.

The authority to kill Obama comes from the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution: He is levying war on the United States and aiding and comforting our foreign enemies – the 2nd Amendment gives us the right and duty (authority) to engage an enemy of the United States that does so with the design to reduce us under absolute Despotism. I would be very surprised, if Obama does not leave Washington DC today (Nov. 19th) … never to return, if he is not dead within the month.

Somebody says that about every president. Who was that rapper who was talking about shooting Bush? When you are in that position, invariably some nut somewhere will want to take a shot at you. The SS is going to call on him certainly.

Arrest this man and imprison him until President Obama has passed away. It's time to quit placating these nut jobs.

I'm not so much surprised that someone is doing this, I'm more surprised that it took so long for it to happen. I guess America's tolerance for Hopium is reaching critical levels. Keep chasing that dragon Obama, I'm sure America will continue to eat up your empty promises and feel good rhetoric. /sarcasm

I don't use facebook so can't verify what this says but a militia leader with 1,400 members operating as a closed group sounds more dangerous than some rapper blowing off steam.

Im not sure if a call to shot the president is a wise thing. Even if hes not liked he still has the office and the secret service takes threats to the office very seriously.

Meh, the guys who talk about it in public are not the ones you have to worry about--they say shocking things to get attention, and he is going to get some attention driving black suburbans very soon.

The ones who do not go on ranting about it are the dangerous ones.

Any fool can make any claim or statement they want with absolutely no check on sincerity or tone.

I used to think "info-tainment" was a problem. That bastardization takes a backseat to the reporting of what morons post on Facebook or Twitter.

Well how about his continuation of DHS, TSA, NDAA and patriot act policies. He just seems to love those and to me they're fascist policies and organizations. So yeah, he's quite a bit of a Nazi in my book. Way more of a socialist though.
