LISBON, Portugal - Several thousand off-duty Portuguese police offers protesting against austerity measures have broken through a line of riot police protecting the country's Parliament

Ok, the police isn`t happy, the army isn`t happy and th people is more and more angry with the austerity measures that are going beyhond anything reasonable. So, who`s going to protect the politicians from the angry crowd from now on ?

It was too late, the Parliament was already closed.

I heard on the radio at 19:00 one journalist asking why they were going there if they would reach the parliament at a hour when it would be empty, and they said that the idea was going to the parliament, as that's where the real political authority is.

answer: cowards wanting no backlash. They are still some sad civilians after all... better follow suit.

Sad.

Still... that stupid pepsi campaign that offended #ing ronaldo over that stupid world cup has more support than million of families living in poverty and the country going down the drain and the unemployment rate climbing every month, and families not having food too feed their children, and whole families losing their jobs, and whole industries disappearing because of "European contracts" or "rules" , ... - portuguese people deserve no respect because they really dont care about themselves, so... why should anyone else care?

So... just delete this thread.
