Hater. Have you heard of the internet? It's weird...connected to everything...'billions of websites' they say...'PshPosh' I say. Where's that hole in the sand...I prefer the darkness.

You may want to watch a kid that gets interested in something on their own (one who's not already doped up with an attention span of a ferret), as kids tend to go 100% if they're looking for an answer that they are truly interested in.

You'd be amazed at the insights I hear from wee ones. They're almost always deeper than anything else I hear "adults" saying.

Why does Lord of the Rings come to mind? It feels like we are dealing with a power, immensely strong and corrupting (the shadowy world banking system). The solution? Awaken, shed the ring (in consciousness).

Banks in control of the creation of a nation's currency is the problem.

All banks issue currency, that is what you fail to understand.

No.

Banks are a secure place to store your money. That is and was the purpose of a bank. It was supposed to be a conveniant way for people to protect their assets.

Banks issue loans. It is a service they provide, so they charge interest so they can make a profit (the money for loans is supposed to come from the interest that they charge).

Banks also make money transfers possible.
Banks also provide insurance in case of accidents.

There are many services that banks offer. So banking is not the problem in and of itself. The problem is the mathematical model of fractional-reserve styled banking.

Explain why it is a problem.

The Fed is not the problem. Fractional reserve is not the problem---that is associated with successful and failed economies.

In the end it is who gets the wealth, and who makes the wealth, and who gets what fraction of the wealth being made. Real world, atoms, services, needed goods and services. This problem is political and social.

Before the Fed, in the USA there was money issued by individual banks on fractional reserve, and the problems were substantially worse. Private bankers manipulated money supply and loans far more nefariously than the Federal Reserve which does not have a profit motive.

People complain about "debt-based currency" and then in the next breath complain about "Fed printing money"---i.e. the opposite. I bet if then Congress authorized new Treasury Notes to supplement or replace Federal Reserve Notes then the same Ron-Paulite people would complain about money printing and "monetizing the debt". And not understand how all their positions are mutually contradictory and nonsensical.

In actual practice, without QE, useful money (i.e. circulating in the real economy) is created when private banks make loans, which goes to other people's paychecks and bank accounts of their own. Money rises and falls with the economic cycle.

The Federal Reserve may not have a profit motive, but it exists because the shareholders of the Federal Reserve do have a profit motive. The 12 regional banks own the Fed. Those 12 regional banks are owned by bankers in those regions. You don't see the conflict of interest here?

I honestly think that would increase the taxes because the government would have to pay for all the unemployed people. It would really hurt the economy and since there's no more banks, people would have to take storing their own money into their own hands. The crime rate would increase. The government would need to hire more police and guards for prisons. More people means more monthly salaries to pay. The taxes would rise. The country would far into anarchy soon after the multiple strikes, protests, and riots. The country would be forced into marshal law. Curfews would be enforced and a resistance would slowly rise then attack the government. If they were to succeed, the country would fall back to anarchy. If they choose to put the law into their own hands, the country could be restored into its former glory or it could fall into anarchy again. The country's allies would have to take matters into their own hands and deploy soldiers to try and ease the raging riots and protests. If they were to fail, the country would be stuck in that anarchy would be permanent until a dictator rises up and takes charge. Before you know it, it would be a national enemy of the US, UK, Russia, North Korea, and or China. And that is why that would be a bad idea.

You have no clue what you're on about. The economy is a shell game.

Today the monetary system has become more of a brake and rudder towards the goals of the rich for the economy rather than an enabler of commerce.

The only ones who would be hurting with a guaranteed minimum income would be the rich.

Your entire argument is nonsensical because you do not grasp what money is and how the monetary system works.

Each and every single bank loan in history was new money being issued into the economy. Money conjured up out of thin air.

You wrongly presume that bank loans are old money that is being lent.

You are wrong. It is new money.

The banking system basically enables 10 people to spend the same dollar at once but separately. As if they each the one dollar all to themselves. So 10 people may spend the same dollar 10 times, collectively, at the same time. Even though only one dollar really exists and only one dollar can be spent at a time, at any one time. If it were not for the banking system, that is.

Thus banking is functionally equivalent to legalised counterfeiting and/or fraud.

Do you understand?

Guess not.

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free. And thus will fight their own deliverance from slavery tooth and nail.

Carry on.

Yes. At best you are confusing banks with safety deposit boxes and payment intermediaries like PayPal, Moneygram, VISA, Mastercard etc.

Banks are more than just safety deposit boxes and payment intermediaries.

They also issue make-believe cash into circulation.

There is no bank that is not fractional reserve.

What I'm truly interested in is WHAT CAN WE DO?????

Cancel all debt, abolish banking (not clearing houses, payment intermediaries or safety deposit boxes), return to government issued currency that is spent rather than loaned into circulation.

jefferton is right though.

Surely you don't believe a 12 year old ponders compounded interest, reserves, taxation, laws, inflation, mortgage, bible chapters, exponential increase, loans/debt, economy, and a bunch of quotes from people all on her own.

I hate the idea that we're just like sheep. From age 5 on. School to brainwash us, then we're told we need a SSN, or SIN number, we need a job, car, loans, debt, mortgage, bank account, credit card, spend spend spend, etc etc etc. When in reality we don't need any of that. Banks=Satan

Wow, this girl did not understand a single word that she spoke, and this video will come back to haunt her when she runs for PM. Rather than try to explain to you how the banking system actually works, and why it works, let me simply point out that The Public Banking Institute's solution to the "problem" they have invented is Socialism. Rather than having institutions that stand to lose money on bad loans create credit, credit would be created at the whims of Statist politicians! Does this sound like the sort of system you would like?

I am so impressed with this little girl! Excellent speech --- makes me hopeful for our next generation!

And of course lol, her parents helped her write it. My parents ended up writing or should I say "helping me" write most of my speeches when I was a kid, but I'm sure in doing so she learned quite a bit. Quite impressive that she memorized all of those facts.

And I think it's wonderful that she's encouraging her peers to question our banking system at such a young age. Our banking system is as corrupt as the Federal Reserve and the more people that become aware of this fact the better!

You do not have to become defensive and start the 'hate' game but it is clear this girl has been coached by someone else. I maintain that her father is responsible for putting her on the pedestal.

What is more concerning is the volume of people in this thread who buy hook, line and sinker into it. Many who would profess an elevated ability to critically think, yet ignore the platently obvious falseness of the show.

She might be able to commit a speech to memory but does she understand it? That is the litmus test. If I see a follow up with questions and answers then I might be more inclined to believe she is for real.

I had seen this awhile back, its still THE TRUTH.

That's the point. Whether or not her parents got her to memorize the whole thing or if they guided her political interest, the point is Her whole statement is TRUE!

DOOM! DOOM! I TELL YOU!----= That never seems to work.

So maybe a polite little girl will if only for a moment get someone's attention...
I sure hope more people 'WAKE UP'.

Puppet show? Wow dude, at least you could have given the thread more than just 5 minutes before bashing it.

I agree. I mean she's clearly reading from prompt, and she could have had help from anyone in writing this etc. It's impressive that she probably understands what she's saying (I still don't fully!) but the information is out there, and I doubt she wrote she's reading. The whole "12 year old figured it out!" angle doesn't work for me.

I was going to link to the video in your thread, so thanks for posting. This video explains everything the girl was saying, in much greater depth and very simply.

hiddensecretsofmoney.com...

The girl may have been used, but this is a case where the message is more important than the messenger. Would as many people have watched the video if her father had given this speech? Don't shoot the messenger, just chide the parents a little in public for using their kid...then knowingly nudge nudge wink wink say no more say no more (can't wait to see Monty Python back on stage BTW - is there a thread yet for that? There should be!)

Those in this thread who are defending the current system of banking may change their minds after watching this video, if they can do so with an open mind.

I agree with the message, but I despise people who attempt to use kids to push an agenda. Regardless if I agree with what they are pushing or not.

Teaching a kid to parrot whatever you want them to say doesn't take a lot of effort. They should be teaching the kid to think for herself, instead of having her memorize stuff or read off of cards.

You shouldn't be so judgmental. Its hard to believe you're even bashing this thread.

You call it teaching your kids to parrot your beliefs...I call it teaching your kids that the world is a corrupt and difficult place to live in and its run by greedy, selfish and evil people. I will tell my kids the same one day and will do my best to explain why it is like this. If they want to go and tell other people the same thing thats fine by me.

If you agree with the message then pipe the f*ck down the girl is thinking for herself and doing a damn good thing.
