Thank you very much! I've been less than active on this site in the last year or so, and some things have changed!

I believe I was pretty drunk on rum for that performance, but though I do smoke (cigs and pipe), I didn't take a drag while actually singing the song. That American Spirit Perique was just for show, and humorous effect.

And thanks for the stars and flags! Though this is hardly my best performance ever, it does serve to demonstrate what an early "mentor" once said to me about how to become a decent classical singer: you need a BS attitude! A rock singer must be completely serious, but a classical singer needs that BS attitude. Sounds strange and the opposite of what one would think, I know, but then it's a strange world...
