Love That Lasts...

Love that lasts
Is a woven fabric
That connects two separate lives
Shaping something greater
Than a single strand can provide
Warp and weft
We weave to connect
Our colors, our hands
Our hearts, our minds
Choosing to be intertwined

Love that lasts
Is a snowflake pattern
That the world has never quite seen
Formed of trust and hope
In shades of pain and triumph and dreams
Warp and weft
We weave to connect
Our colors, our hands
Our hearts, our minds
Choosing to be intertwined

The fabric is laid down
On the bed and on the table
On the crib and on the stone
The circle widens to the days
And the lives that dedicate a thread
Span generations we call home
We walk the shadow and the light
We hold fast to the weaving of the heart
Love that lasts is work of a lifetime
Love that lasts is a work of art

Warp and weft
We weave to connect
Our colors, our hands
Our hearts, our minds
Choosing to be intertwined

That's beautiful.

There is little else to be said than that I think.

Thank you for sharing your writing again. Love is an interesting thing, sometimes it seems not everyone is meant to have it while others seem to waste it away and then there are those that it becomes there lives and become awesome

Very well done!

When love is torn and ripped apart, how terrible!
When thread rejects the weave it’s in and pulls loose,
the fabric of life comes unbound.
