Obamacare Grandfathering - Obamacare Could Nullify Itself - Possible Loophole?

Pot meet kettle... I have mentioned here that Sebelius under testimony stated that as little as a $5 increase in copay would nullify the grandfathering. And as I will show you, their best plan is worse than what I have now.

So if a $5 increase nullifies grandfathering. Then can a $5 or greater increase in copays, deductibles or co-insurance price nullify being moved to Obamacare? Obviously the answer is no, or is it? Shouldn't it work both ways?

So for those in the individual market, what have your copays been changed to? I looked under the best plan available to me and my spouse if we would need Obamacare ($14,800 price tag). Now I am comparing apples to apples since I already have an Obamacare approved plan. And my specialist copay would go up from $15 to $40. The PCP copay would remain the same. The maximum out of pocket would increase by $2000 each and the deductible would increase by $250 each. Plus prescriptions would all go up tremendously via Obamacare. Generic from $3 to $8, name brand from $12 to $45, and top shelf from $28 to $90. This Obamacare plan even added in an extra category with 50% coverage on what they call specialty prescriptions with a maximum coverage of $500 per prescription. Oh I bet those are the ones that people need to save their lives for a serious illness.

They are using this very pretext to cancel plans yet they are doing it themselves? So lets get this straight... They are cancelling a plan over a $5 increase in copay. But then turn around and increase the copay 25$ for a specialist along with everything else?

And this is for the best plan? The cheapest at $10,000 ($20% coinsurance) would apply the HUGE $12,500 family and $6,750 individual deductible to PCP visits after the first 3 visits. And it would take another post to go into detail about the and's, if's, and but's for this type of coverage. Very bad....

So, everyone here on the individual market, please report here and let us know how your insurance coverage charges will change. Remember we are talking coverage in cents and dollars here.

So this all brings up yet another interesting point. You can have an Obamacare approved individual plan, but still be kicked off it. Then you will be subjected to increased copays, deductibles, and co-insurance. And this doesn't even take into consideration the cost of the plan itself.

You will have less for more!

Grandfathering is built so tight that even an Obamacare plan could nullify itself!
