Article outlines 10 weapons, including flamethowers, miniguns and katana (samurai swords) which are legal

Well...there are some pretty big weapons there, but half mentioned seem to be weapons that I can definitely believe are available.

Clearly the author had to fit several perfectly acceptable weapons in there to finish his list.

Kitchen knives are not included on this list. Kitchen knives are clearly dangerous weapons and should be included.

Also, hammers. And fingers. I once poked myself in the eye with my finger. Fingers should be outlawed. Or at least tightly controlled.

Agreed, a great many are made by someone in a day as well. So knowledge can let any of us make it if needed and I think I need at least 2 of each on the list, and I would have the funnest BBQ's!

I like the Sjambok, have one myself. Agreed that this list is unbelievably weak. There wasn't one weapon in that list that was worthy of the title.

Lets see.

I own 4 black powder cannons one big enough the fire bowling balls
Katana. no but i have a couple Machetes one just as long as a Katana but heavier.
Nunchucks! hell yes. but because i live in calif i have to store it in NV because i am not active in martial arts right now due to health problems.

I am also trained in the use of high explosives as i spent 30 years as a blaster and could make my own if needed.

Its not like i am going to do a bank robbery with any of them and i was a federal security officer and have seen a lot worse weapons.

Its legal in the US to own a tank.

I know of one auto wrecker that has one to crush cars at his yard and his employees just love crush day.

I don't see the point as these are not used in crimes and would be of little use in crimes.

I cannot understand some of the reasoning behind including certain weapons on this list. The flame thrower... Yeah sure, I understand that being there, the mini gun, yup, I understand that just fine...

Speargun? Are you kidding me? Totally legitimate way to go fishing if you ask me. Crossbow? It's not as if you cannot hunt with one of these, so what's the problem? And how anyone in the USA can have a problem with a mans weapon like a katana is beyond me. Is there some obsession with getting your kill on from a distance in the USA? Is the NRA just an organisation for cissies who are afraid of getting a little blood on their shirts?

This slideshow was in parts sensible, and in others idiotic.

Being in the UK, I don't get to own anything that could harm others or myself... apart from the finger for self harm eye poking!

In a SHTF situation though, I am sure I could soon procure a pointy stick!

you forgot to mention prescription drugs with their very dangerous side erffects.

nearly all of the mass shootings in America were caused by these very dangerous drugs.

the mainstream media never mention this as they get advertising revenue from the same drug companies who make these deadly drugs.

a man who published a list for each mass shooter with the drug they were taking was found dead afterwards.he had been shot in the head as he was driving.

Guns are legal in the UK, as are Tanks, swords, nunchucks etc. You just need a license for the guns and a ton of money to run the tank.

They didn't mention some of the good stuff. Such as:
- 20mm anti-material rifles
- Binary Explosives
- Thermite
- Military Aircraft
- Transferrable Machine Guns

As kids we used to use model rocket motors, pvc pipe and black powder to make explosives.

Technically, they were rocket propelled grenades. Not very accurate, but lots of fun.

We hunted, fished and camped out for fun. No campers, freeze dried food or cell phones. We had food we'd bought from mowing yards and returning scavenged bottles. We ate whatever we caught or shot too. Nobody needed a license to get black powder either. We could get things that cut, burned and blew up. We could also get guns, liquor, smokes and chewing tobacco. Porn was hard to come by. Survival was just common sense though.

That was back before people became so stupid. Kids understood guns and knives.

Now adults have to be warned not to use electric toasters in the shower.

I own a Katana. It hangs on the wall, and is a wonderful conversation starter. My research on it tells me that it dates from the late 18th century.

A flamethrower would be totally cool to own...but unlikely to ever happen. *sigh*

Black powder and PVC... Fun times!! Just don't over do it...those craters are a lot of trouble to fill.

My point was that actual weapons with the destructive force of an RPG (while you have shown it wouldn't be hard to make) is not in the realm of those who enjoy their firearms.
