Mother Shipton or whoever wrote it.

But slowly they are routed out
to seek diminishing water spout
and men will die of thirst before
the oceans rise to mount to the shore.
And lands will crack and rend anew
do you think it strange, it will come true.

----

But the land that rises from the sea
will be dry and clean and soft and free.
Of mankinds dirt and therefore be,
the source of man's new dynasty.
and those that live will ever fear
the dragon's tail for many year
but time erases memory
You think it strange. but it will be.

Mother Shipton had to be a hoax! Cuz this is happening!

Here's another pic of it

I really don't believe that can't get over to it.
Are there any aerial view photos?

So this isn't the first time it rose? It comes up and is just white looking mud?
Looked like wet cement in the video, if that was it or just an illustration

Obviously an alien space ship, the news story is a brilliant cover.

It's on everybody!

It's probably overpopulated already.

Soloprotocol
I hereby name this Island Soloprotocol Land and all are welcome....so how do you go about claiming a piece of new dry land anyway?

Well you can give it ago, but I'm sure the Paki government might get there first..

Reading the above was amazing because Mother Shipton was not educated in any of the sciences to know about islands rising up from the sea. Yet I believe Atlantis is an ancient memory within us that some people seem to have a clear line of sight both into the past and future that the rest of us do not, and she was one of them.

We have had such a quiet 2000 years on this planet with what could be termed normal disasters such as localised flooding, seasonal tornados etc etc but now the weather and world seems to be changing due to terrific and literal upheavals.

I do feel that this planet has an ideal 'weight' that she can contain and maintain and we are probably, with the pollution of life in general, beginning to topple her capabilities to maintain herself and she is doing some housekeeping by shaking and changing things around. If as some ancients tell us Atlantis slipped into the ocean and there is a T junction between plates in the Atlantic Ocean where we understand it once was, should we be so astounded at land coming up. I saw on a history channel show years ago a scientist showing us the shells on top of a mountain that had in the past risen from the sea bed so we know this happens as a natural thing for planet Earth.

I am terribly sorry for the poor people in Pakistan who have felt the ferocity of the last earthquake and I do wonder whether this is the shape of things to come. There must be a balance that this planet which is a living organism maintains inspite of man's belief that he is in charge.

I saw this on the news this morning. They said a mud bubble came up after the quake.
Kind of a reminder of just how powerful earthquakes can be.
And this wasn't even a major quake!
I can only imagine what will happen when 'the big one' hits California.

Not even a major quake? 7.7 and relatively shallow depth is absolutely considered a major quake.

I hope that it rises up out of the ocean and takes off.

Dude, that's a BIG mud volcano! Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime sight

What? On exactly what planet is this considered a "minor" earthquake? o.O

An aerial view of the island which is thought to be about 60 feet (18 meters) high, 100 feet (30 meters) long and 250 feet (76 meters) wide

I have yet to see a [real] picture of this new island.

ETA:

Such land masses have appeared before off Pakistan's Makran coast, said Muhammed Arshad, a hydrographer with the navy. After quakes in 1999 and 2010, new land masses rose up along a different part of the coast about 282 kilometers (175 miles) east of Gwadar, he said.

He said each of those disappeared back into the sea within a year during the monsoon season, a period of heavy rain and wind that sweeps Pakistan every summer. He said that in the area where the island was created on Tuesday, the sea is only about six to seven meters (23 feet) deep.

Interestingly, it seems that this isn't the first time this has happened

A similar event happened in the same area in 1945 when an 8.1-magnitude earthquake at Makran triggered the formation of mud volcanoes off Gwadar.

www.thenational.ae...

btw this was in shallow water - just off the coast - and the effect on global sea levels would be less that the effect of a hot day in Britain (think lots of fat people diving into the sea)

It only killed about 250 people and didn't break a single cup in New York. Therefore, on a world* scale, it was insignificant. At 7.8 mag It was actually the 3rd largest this year.

* world = USofA because nowhere else matters

Check out this video from today. He gives really good insight between the connections of earthquakes and the alignments of the Sun and Earth's magnetic fields.
