I'm an old fart, so for me it has to be:

AC/DC
Led Zepplin
Black Sabbath
Deep Purple

I still whip my head around and play my air guitar when I listen to all of these bands... and then apply Rub A535 to my sore neck and shoulders afterward.

Here's the thing about rap music: when done well, it sounds like rock. Hip hop (which is Vanilla Ice) is not rap. Nothing against the Timbaland's and Farrell's of the world. They make great sounding music....but that is hip hop.

What is rap is what many would consider "underground" type music. Not a lot of it going on above the surface. Not that I listen to it. I have a friend or two that does.

I'm more of a Tool kind of guy.

i cant get into any type of modern rock, I think the farthest i went was disturbeds first album and the chillie peppers, (well besides steal panther)

but i love the classics.

Those of you into esoterica, the use of various esoteric items in the music (along with the use of sexual connotation in ways that could be seen as wholly symbolic) might make the music of interest, just from the "Tin hat" point of view.

Pete was a friend of mine .There was no one badder assed ,and a nice guy too .I miss him so much i cannot even tell you .Halloween time is so sad for me now .
