Hey there fellow ATS'ers! This is my first post in quite awhile, I have created a few other threads that were both removed due to different T&C violations, but that is beyond the point.

I live in south eastern Manitoba (a province in Canada for those unfamiliar) and all summer we've been gettin all sorts of weird and unusual weather. It has been a cold and rainy summer for the most part, but every now and then we get stretches of extreme heat, humidity and severe thunderstorms. Also we have had more tornado warnings than all of the previous 13 years that I've lived here.

Anyways what I wanted to share with everybody is a collection of some beautiful photographs of some strange cloud formations that my friends have been posting over the past couple days. I hope you guys enjoy!

An awesome panorama shot

Great pics. Looks like a giant thunderhead viewed from beneath.
I love that kind of weather. Nature at it's most beautiful yet violent stage.

Amazing shots, really.

It seems another cold front is currently coming into Ontario from Manitoba. Any chance one of those pics is a shot from that front?

Very nice. An awesome display of mother nature. Beauty hiding the tremendously powerful processes happening within to create such as scene.

If i saw those coming, I would be running for the basement.

Beautiful.... I don't know if this is the work of our " mad scientist" ....

It came out that climate change was a fraud when a bunch of emails were found and leaked... Does earth go threw these changes and we have yet to record it? Or...is man destroying our planet by raping it of all its resources??

So why all the weird weather? As George Carlin said..." Mother Earth would and will shake us off her planet when she's had enough!! According to George... She considers us fleas... lol i know many i consider as snakes!

Looks like supercells to me, too. Googling "supercells in Manitoba" dug up quite a bit on them there. It doesn't look like it's something they get on any regular basis like the Plains states do, but it does look to be something that does happen on occasion. Evidently, 2007 spat out some supercells up there, that summer was mentioned in a lot of links.

Thanks for the info! I'm not much of an expert or anything close when it comes to this subject, but it sure was quite the sight to see. And quite the fright for some too haha

The front is expected to cross my area overnight, so pics may be a little dicey. On the other hand, I might try some lightning or early morning photos of what's happening here in NW Ontario and, if they turn out, I'll post them to this thread.
