Were Europeans in North America before anyone else?

I'm pretty sure that the first humans in the Americas came from Asia via Siberia and Alaska - how long ago they first arrived is a moot point.

But Latinos came from Europe much later .....

Its not that far fetched. I wouldnt be surprised if in the Vatican archives knowledge about the new world was stored long before Columbus set sail towards there. Their whole insistence on the earth being flat and you falling of the edge of the world if you sail west makes sense now. Maybe they were afraid they would lose the grip on their sheeple if they moved someplace they cant touch them.
