I mean, one of those days,.. your dog died, your bf/gf/wife/husband, your water heater burst, your car engine is screwed and you have to buy a new
one, you played beer pong all night the night before and you are almost 30, you opened the kitchen cabinets and all the dishes fell out at once
shattering on the floor, you failed a final exam, you got jury duty.... all of these things in the same day or any combination, maybe just one.
What is your EMERGENCY SONG. The song that will make you happy no matter what (despite incredibly dire circumstances of course)? We need a little
happy in here. Here are two of mine.
All of those things have happened to me, PS. In multiple combinations
Mine is not so much about the song as it is about the two singing it. Total underdogs. As they moved toward center stage Simon Cowell whispered to one
of the other judges, 'Just when you think things couldn't get any worse.' My eyes water every time I watch this.

Mr. and Mrs. tanda work side by side. Sometimes we listen to a radio station that plays lots of New Orleans musicians. Whenever this song comes
on we always stop what we are doing and slow dance and sing this song to each other. It's like medicine.
Tho I am homeless and broke, without meaningful employment and no real prospects of any, i am often reminded that there are those in this world that
are worse off than I. When I get down, this is one song that reminds me that sometimes we just need to relax, get rhythm and dance.

I must say, this thread is much easier than the one last night for a single song to choose in general. For this purpose? I didn't even have to think
about this one.
It had added meaning for where and what context I first heard it in for an 80's television series, but it's the one I throw on.
Music is a special force for me. I don't do much television/movies. I prefer to listen to music and browse the internet, or listen to music and
visit with family.
I have a couple of TB of music that I rotate through depending on what it is I am doing.
This song....it is special to me. I can't hear it without thinking of my beautiful wife:
