PJs played a strong role in the 'Black Hawk Down' incident in Somalia in October '93. They are fully combat trained Air Force special operators,
with specialized training in securing downed aircraft, rescuing pilots and others, eventual demolition of the aircraft, and of course advanced
emergency medical technique.
PJ's are largely unsung heroes. As far as special operations forces are concerned, they are overlooked by the public, yet highly coveted by the
military.
