Cosmic Currency. Paypal & Seti Space developing economic system for Space

That's right folks. Capitalism is moving out into Space; I guess we all knew this was coming. What do you all think? Is commercialism in Space a good thing or a bad thing? On one end it will drive humanity and push us to our limits in terms of innovation and discovery; on the other end we( humans) will bring our unsolved problems concerning money and economics into the cosmos: how to deal with rich/ poor, how to end the tyranny of banking cartels, how to use capitalism to the benefit of nature and not to its detriment, and most importantly how to manage and control all of man's activities in Space? You can best believe there will be a lot of corruption going on.

Personal opinion: It's a "gimmicky" publicity grab at the moment.


That said, it will eventually be a fact of life while people are touring space, and whatever else.


Nice to know that when giant mega corps do make it out to start mining asteroids and mining the moon / mars in the future, us peons will be able to send our credits back home to our loved ones......

Lemme guess, Credit system? Cashless, know why someone would want a cashless system?
A cashless system is even more easier to manipulate and steal from via software and straight old fashion know how since the currency is only numbers on a digital screen. now not sure if you've suffered this yet, but guess what can happen to numbers on a digital screen? They can disappear off the face of this universe forEVER, from a virus, a mistake, an issue unforseen at this present time, and that's the issue you wanna bet on causing issue.

So let's recap, physical money = good ( harder to steal from without others knowing since a simply inventory of bills or coin can be checked hourly if you wanted )

Non -Physical Money = Bad ( I can take this from you while you buy something from me, when you're sleeping, while you're awake, I can take it or break it or make it go bye bye, an that's without having to touch it because it's not physically anywhere...

Money that isn't anywhere is actually EVERYWHERE ALWAYS that's BAD MMMMMMMMKay

Maybe the Bitcoin or some variation thereof will become the new Space based currency. With the vast distances it might be challenging to manage any type of hard currency. The Bitcion might work perfectly for this scenario.
