When the slide show is playing, what is the yellow thing in the 6th picture? It's behind the rock that is supposed to look like a bird. It's quite small but very visible. Just looks out of place. May be nothing.

It's a dust speck or something similar on the right MastCam (right eye of the MastCam). If you look at that 1 billion pixel mosaic image, you can see the speck in multiple places. That's because multiple images were unsed to create this single mosaic image.

That speck of dust has been on the right MastCam since Curiosity landed. Here are several images from that camera. You can see the speck shows up in the same place on all of them:

We had a drought here in Georgia a few years ago. Those pictures look exactly like some of our lake beds (red clay).

It looks like the surface of Mars was covered in water at one time.
