The Resolve To Win

As a warrior you need to know that in Iraq this is but a battle in the War not the War in total! Don't be knaive and believe our enemies are going to be easilly vanquished. We have embarked on a quest that will test every motive and ability we possess.

If you have never felt the sting of battle and smelled the end results of burned flesh or viewed body parts wash out of cargo holds and seen the blood stains it does not get any easier as time proceeds. I saw and experienced all of this misery in the Vietnam War and it has not changed one bit since then.

People are dying the same way they did back then and now I have good reason to wonder if we are fully prepared to accept what we will soon have to deal with. Now that this election is over resolve to understand that the war is still with us , only thing that has changed is the location.

The professional WARRIORS working for us now are the best trained, best led, and best provisioned in our history of warfare. We have accomplished this miracle in spite of TRAITORS like John F. Kerry-Teddy Bare Kennedy-Jane Fonda and all the socialist minions working against Freedom and Liberty here in America.

WAR is a nasty thankless undertaking that is only understood by the WARRIORS themselves; who allow themselves to be villified and spat upon by milloins of communist stooges around the world. Freedom has a price that cowards cannot understand because there are things of high moral ethical standards worth dying for in this world. Even the Freedom; that Anti-American protesters parade around in our streets was purchased with blood at the point of a gun by a patriotic warrior willing to die for what they believed in.

How committed are you to preserve our way of life here in America? Are you so liberalized in your thinking that nothing penetrates your cranium? Perhaps you need to be where a buddy of yours was being cradled in some medic's arms with their brains running down their arm or grabbing at their gut trying to keep their intestines from falling out. If you never for once in your miserable life are forced to deal first hand then count yourself fortunate. We as a nation may soon have to deal with even worse situations right here at home if this country does not find the resolve to finally face up to the realities of the world we are now living in.

We are fighting a fanatical enemy that hates everything you and I believe in. They would take off your head and not lose one second of sleep worrying about it. Generational hatred is what I am speaking of here; and this is taught and trained into them from birth and if you believe ISLAM is tolerant you have not been paying attention. You are the avowed enemy of every Muslim alive on the planet today. There is only one thing to remember about this enemy, they are mortals like all of us and they die like dogs in the dust so resolve once again that we will be in blood up to our armpits fighting this enemy and we will in all likliehood have to kill every last stinking one of them. The only other littany of fanaticism we have delt with in recent history was the cult of BUSHIDO in WWII and it took the Atom Bomb to finally put out the fire of hatred in thos adherents!

Thank you very much, as this is what the American Public needs to understand, they do not need to protest and bicker about something that is beyond their control now, give the troops 100% support both abroad and at home and they will come home quicker and with less casulties.

Protesting is not anti-American, its part of living in a Democracy. (or Republic, nomenclature is irrelevent)
The same freedoms that you believe Muslims are trying to take, you denounce as anti-American. The point of freedom is not the freedom to "protect freedom" in any way which you see fit, the point is to act in ways which you prefer. Of course this is limited by laws protecting others, but the majority of protestors are not anti-American, (I personally believe demonstration is a great manifestation of the power of liberty) they are anti-Adminstration. Freedom is not an American right, its a human right. What does freedom mean to the thousands of injured or homeless Iraqi innocents? The freedom to live with disability or the freedom to live in a box?



Im sure you realize that the only people revoking our freedoms are the people running our government. Muslims did not overwhelmingly pass the Patriot Act, the United States government did.



Thats pretty shortsighted, Ive been friends with Palestinians and others of the Islamic faith, Im confident in saying that they do not believe me an enemy.



These people are human beings just like you and I, like you just said. Suggesting that we will have to "kill every last stinking one of them" is essentially no different than taking the mindset of a terrorist.



It took an atom bomb to put out a fire? Hundreds of thousands of innocent people were incinerated with those bombs, the fanatical leadership responsible for Japanese aggression remained unscathed.

I will agree with you but from the begining winker the invasion of Iraq was a not of liberation but of power.

The war on terror is not with the iraqi people and that is what is going on right now, you can not cover the entire sky with the palm of your hand and that is what this war is trying to do In that country while the real threat to US is free and runing business as usual in other countries.

Mark this here and now the enemy we have the most to contend with is radical islam; this movement will do like Nazism and fascism did in WWII even the moderates were swept up and obliged to support both of them. It will be the same here as the un-involved now will be goaded or threattened and ultimately killed if they do not support the Radical Islamofascicsts. We are headed for a conflagration un-paralled in history and the horrors of this war will pale all those that came before!

I am a realist and deal with the facts of living in a Republic not a demoncracy. We are in a "JUST" war you bloke 3000+ died in the 911 attacks and only by the grace of Almighty Jehovah God did it stop there. The justness of any war rests with how it is prosecuted. America is a winner and we are not afraid to take it to the enemy where they hide out. I have personal family blood invested in the defense of this country and I know how to identify the enemy; their speech is the first indicator of their Treason they are big and brave and talk trash but short on action to fix the problem. The world calls them cowards. I only respect Patriots and Warriors who talk the talk and walk the walk!

Winker spoke of fighting a fanatical enemy. Sounds pretty fanatical himself. Me, I think we're fighting barbarians: people living by a medieval code. Either way, they need to be fought (Winker is correct in this respect), but we all need to be on guard against becoming a fanatical society ourselves. For these reasons, I empathize with Winker's feelings, but I wouldn't want to give myself completely over to his way of thinking.

You keep denying the obvious; I agree War is not the answer we seek and technology certainly gives us the ability to kill mass numbers of people . Your theory is to kiss and make up and sing cum ba yaa! Sorry I don't kiss snakes in the grass or otherwise capitulate. I am a WARRIOR, we will finish this on our terms not theirs!

Your calling our enemies fanatics? It seems like your just as extreme in your views as they are. As far as what you have to say, I think most of it is ignorant, macho bullsh*t.
Being a soldier doesnt mean that you have any more insight than anyone else about the reasons or validity of the war in Iraq. Your job is to destroy and kill the enemy, not to question whether it is justified or not.
If you have an opinion on a weapons system or combat tactic, I'll value your insight. If you have an opinion on politics or the justification for going to war, I couldnt give a sh*t less.
