My oldest daughter absolutely HATES this song! She is only 5 foot tall, so that probably explains it. It probably doesn't help that her younger sister (who is 5' 10" tall) sings it around her just to get her riled up. Aaaaah- sibling rivalry doesn't end at adulthood!

On the surface, the song is making fun of little people, but "short" is meant in a figurative sense, intending to poke fun at people who are short-tempered and small-minded SongFacts.com
