Looks like they caught a break...

"Dairy farmer acquitted on three of four charges in raw milk trial"

Baraboo — Dairy farmer Vernon Hershberger was acquitted on three of four criminal charges early Saturday morning in a trial that drew national attention from supporters of the raw, unpasteurized milk movement.

Jurors in Sauk County Circuit Court deliberated about four hours, until nearly 1 a.m. Saturday, before returning a verdict of guilty on one charge of violating a holding order placed on products on the Hershberger farm following a raid there in the summer of 2010.

Good news so far.

But I believe we are not seeing the end of this as they will repeat the process, watch their P's and Q's more closely and then find reason to bring new charges or just re-try the old ones.

I can't see this going away as too many in the courts will lose face and that just won't do.

Peace

Although there are a few things to be worried about with this trial, I actually agree with the judge on many of his points.
The courts are there to uphold the laws that the moronic lawmakers put in place. If there is any anger here, it should be directed to the idiots in government that passed those laws in the first place.

Courts are to decide innocence or guilt of laws. They are not places to have philosophical discussions about "liberty", nor places to discuss the merits of "heathly" food, nor places to have medical discussions about the safety or otherwise of raw milk, nor places to have moral questions about "human rights".

What the judge has before him are laws. He is there to facilitate the jury in coming to a decision about whether or not those (often stupid) laws were broken or not.
Any of those other issues may be addressed in sentencing.

Got a problem?
Vote out the politicians that passed that law you dont like. Dont blame the judge.

You know what?

I'm too tired to debate this ridiculous post right now.

But..."ARE YOU FREAKIN' OFF YOUR ROCKER?????"

YOU are the absolute reason that this is even an issue if you agree with even 1% of what's happening.

I'll leave it at that because it's not even worth my time and/or effort. The facts speak for themselves.

Read, research, learn and understand the topic before you comment on an issue of which you clearly have no prior knowledge.

TWO WORDS

JURY NULLIFICATION
We can only hope the jury itself will see threough this sham and declare the farmer innocent of any wrong doing.

It seems that so many of the laws and rules instituted for specific trials, like in this case, do not benefit justice, but instead benefit one party or the other. Usually the party with the most money. How many times in the past few decades has it been proven that various judicial officials were taking bribes to rule a certain way? And remember that only a small percentage are likely caught. It is easy to look at the decisions that judges have made and tell when they are just plain wrong. And then we must ask ourselves how they can be so stupid. The answer is likely that they are doing something they are not supposed to be doing. I mean a lot of decisions are just common sense, and have to do with "fairness."

Like the Guantanamo Bay trials, this trial is favoring a certain party. This is basically just a circus, a show trial. I would be shocked if the other side won in this instance.

This is absolutely disgusting. But, what exactly can we do about it? Is there a way that we, as citizens, can petition the courts to give this case to a new judge and jury? Maybe create a movement and get the people together to disband this attack on individuals who choose to provide their own resources?
Sounds to me like this judge and prosecutor combo are in the pockets of someone who doesn't like the defendant.

I have a big, big problem with this, and it isn't just conservative judges doing things like this, liberal judges have been doing the same. These people do not care about protecting our individual rights, they just care about how much money the lobbyists will be paying them after the trial for making this farmer, and maybe his family, scapegoats and criminals for TPTB goals...

To tell you the truth, I am not up-to-date with this case. Is it at the Supreme Court? Is it being handled as a civil, or criminal case?

I really think more Americans should get involved in this, because although it is not happening to you now, it might be you, and your family in a week's time, or a month, or a year...

TBPT are trying to use some scapegoats to get the goals that the rich elites want them to set for the rest of us, and without us having any say about it.

I think enough, is enough is long past, this has become a real crisis how these aholes, pardon my French, can get away with this and you don't see more Americans, or people in other countries getting tired of it and protesting for what the rich fascist/socialist elites are doing to our nations...

Looking at the bigger picture, this poor farmer is being used in a court system to eliminate independent food producers. Controlling both food and water, you control the masses. If people can form groups that support a farm and use it for their food source, people are controlling their lives not government or corporations.

Health issues and regulations may be the center of this circus but I believe they don't want coop farms that are supported by the very people who will eat or drink the rewards. Independence from the system of profit and greed is not allowed.

How unfair a trial is can be a sign of a hidden threat to the system.

I wish the best for him and hope they would rather sweep this under the rug instead of making an example.

Isn't it just because it's happening in america that it is like this?

The FDA is the most corrupt part of all agencies; bed fellow with the chem industry- imfamous terrorizers of people and planet... Big chem, godfathers of Big pharma, Big agri...cornerstone of the military industrial complex... The stuff they make nightmares from.

Big bucks at play in a corporate government, that's what you've got and this is what it looks like without the make-up on.

Who knows when these people will see justice..

I think it would be ironic if the jury somehow rules in favor of the defendant because too much information was withheld by the judge and prosecution. Something like "insufficient evidence due to obstruction" or whatever the legal equivalent of that is.

But it's kind of wait and see so far.

The People's Court, Nazi Germany

Only a matter of time.

The Nazi's peoples court for some reason made me think of the patriot act. They try and make you think it is a good thing by putting patriot or peoples in the name.

It is amazing just how far we have fallen from what the founding fathers wanted. Thankfully for the Progressive PTB apathy and just plain stupidity seem to rule our day to day lives.

I do believe change is coming because the lowest wage earners are about to be pushed out. Anyone making under 10 bucks a hour is really struggling because of inflation. I give it 2 years max before they can not eat or pay rent anymore. Sorry I know the last part is off topic.

I am shocked that the people in every region have not yet established very well known and utilized people news papers, run by every community and radio. That they are not establishing wake up calls for all and garnering massive support to show up and stand firm against this tyranny.

Some are able to remain calm with nazi's. I couldn't. I'd be in trouble for if they were striking down people's rights to speak I'd stand up and shout THIS IS A ROGUE COURT AND GOVERNMENT AND YOU SIR HAVE BROKEN YOUR OATH OF OFFICE. I AM FORCED, OR WOULD BE A CRIMINAL MYSELF, LIKE YOU, TO PERFORM A CITIZENS ARREST!!!!

I would never be able to stand still in darth vaders presence, want to see real justice, blue beam them all up please. I'm asking for all that is Good and Love watching over us to please take these psycho's away for retraining they need a lot of it.
