). I didn't write that and I was merely passing off what the article stated and just looking for the logical explanations of this story. I thought, at first, it could have held merit. After reading the replies and your comment I can conclude that the theory of "Atlantis" is total bunk, with relation to this article at least.

A lot of us went through the same phase -- the information is attractive, and it's presented so compellingly.

Luckily, Wikipedia and other resources make it easier to check up on claims. In the days when I first came across this information, you had to go search libraries for it... and if you were in the Occult section, you didn't notice that there were books with an alternative view in the Anthropology section or in Geology (in the case of Pangaea) and information might not be in the encyclopedia.
