With the proper rituals, most anything can be charged into a power object.

I like wire coat hangers and bicycle spokes wrapped in duct tape. snappy little units!!!

Hell yeah. Coat hangers make the best dowsing rods, as well. Correspondences between various woods, metals, and minerals have some basis in physiology but much of it is a deeply vested faith instilled by generations of people who have learned it. The rest of it is your personal invested power. The difference between witchcraft and ceremonial magic is their reliance on one over the other and how far that leans.

Doesn't that break the magnets?

That wand or staff is really lovely. I like that it is done in primitive string wrapping - it just looks cool.

So I added copper wire to it.
(The link goes to mystical, healing and magical properties of copper, which I just found, after adding it to the wand/staff...)

Very cool.

I want it to be a wand of healing.

b.t.w. I appreciate all the comments.

Do you even know how to use a wand or scepter?

I suppose I'll have a look on the internet. Do you connect one with the net?

If I haven't replied for three weeks, suppose the wand killed me.

I wish I could get down there some day to dig some up.

Very nice creative piece you have made. I myself enjoy working with gems in my jewelry making.

Now all you need is a new movie and you could be the next Gandalf.

(Oops, not allowed one liners so I'll fill the space)

One can be very creative with that, now can't one. It's something I'd love to do but I don't know if I would be good at it. These things you can make so beautifull.

@Cuervo.

I thought about a branch that splits into three branches. That was about 45min ago.

Then I thought to put a quartz on each of the three tips. Now I thought about buying a ball of some sort of gem and place it in the middle of the junction.

That would be awesome.

I feel good, I found something creative for my mind.

Nice wand, OP. Just recently harvested my newest wand last Wed (day and hour of Mercury) after the New Moon. I choose a beautiful Oak (wizard's wood) sapling. After a few weeks to dry out, it will be consecrated on the next New Moon, again on the first Wed.

Oh man that was funny...I was thinking something totally different with the thread title and then I read your first sentence and thought to myself something inappropriate.

Just call it your thinking stick or..."The Vanquisher"....and you will be good to go....

I make sure I tell my gf that

Haven't had many replies like that before..

Now I do feel good about myself.

This goes against ATS TandC but... not all purple tops are amethist.

Here's a couple of MY magic wands!

They're not sticks! They're made from polymer clay! I have dozens of 'em.

I once had a group of "Christian" ladies try to get me thrown out of a craft show for selling "witchcraft" to children! HAHA!

I love this thread... grateful for the knowledge shared and the light-hearted demeanor of the OP. It has piqued my interest to know that others here have made such items...

I've made one.. from a Live Oak... it's fitted with a Labradorite cabochon and two coils of copper wire on the hilt with a Copper oxide mineral (Chrysocola) cab on the butt end. At the tip is another coil of silver wire. Had no idea what I was doing but like the OP says... it was the process not the result.

It would be great if someone could post a link(s) or recommend a book(s) that would provide info on this topic.

That was a nice little piece of Fire Agate you had there. I can imagine it was hard to lose.
