Total Government Control?

The Bush Administration is now in control of the Senate, and The House, and correct me if I'm wrong, The Supreme Court. With this being the case, is there too much power for this particular President. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be rather easy for him to get just about any of his likes/dislikes through the government? With all of the talk about the monitoring of society increasing almost daily, I find it worrisome that he could institute anything just short of Martial Law before we even saw it coming. Does anyone else share in this discomfort?
