Breaking News: Small Plane Crashes Into House California

"A plane has crashed into a house in Lomita, according to county fire officials.The Cessna crashed into the single-family residence on Pennsylvania Avenue at about 5:30 p.m.

The crashed started a fire in the house.Emergency crews said the pilot has been pulled from the wreckage. The pilot was transported to a hospital.

A neighbor said she heard a large explosion."I heard a big 'boom,' then another big 'boom,'"

Torrance Airport is the closest airport to the crash site."


Apparently the pilot survided the crash as he has been transfered to a hospital. No word in this article about his condition.

Probably gray, like tarmac. The pilot most certainly mistook the house for a clear runway
