www.youtube.com...

It started the day after my dad died of heart failure in 2010. 2 or 3 times a year it just starts up and lasts for about 5 minutes. When it happens I get teary eyed and think of my father

Power turned off (with the off-button) or actually unplugged?

It makes a difference.

Peace

Almost sounds like a fast heart beat.
I am sure you could probably find a reasonable explanation like power surges or a short...I knw sometimes power lines can pick up weird signals and pass them into your electronics in the house, almost like radio interference. However, I don't like those explanations....what YOU feel it means when it happens is why it is happening.

I know first hand that spirits can and do effect electronic equipment like radios, police scanners, computers (although it seems not so much with the newer ones, my old 486 was definitely haunted)

I think it is what it is.

Weird.

Any electro magnetic sources nearby which only occasionally switch on?

Peace

It sounds like it is picking up some radiowaves or something and converting it to sound somehow. Maybe haarp or possibly ground currents from solar activity. Do you live in the northern regions near the poles? Like Norway or Scotland? I wonder if that would happen in the far south also.

I used to have an old stereo that did that once in a while, never really understood what caused it. I'm only speculating.

Yeah I understand old stereos plugged into power sockets maybe doing it but this is battery operated

Hmm.

Just to fancy a guess;

I wonder if there is a capacitance inductor that is short-circuiting?

Maybe the power switch is arching between the two terminals?

Dirty cobwebs can pose as short-circuits too?

My pops passed too. During his last days, I had physical symptoms he described...that left with him.

Try putting your cell phone next to it when it is trying to acquire a signal or is transmitting/receiving. It can happen from that as well.

Are these around your dads anniversary dates?

Birthdays, day of death, major life events......?

I mean yearly, I know you said it started the day after.
Perhaps at times when you feel lost...that is also a time this would occur?

Sounds like a capacitor has still got some charge in it.

You take the speaker mesh off and see what the speaker is doing.

Hi,

I expect it occurs prior to installing new batteries?
