I noticed that every video I checked out today had no "thumbs down" votes, but instead all "thumbs up" votes. I then noticed may many popluar videos with "301+" views. Pretty funny actually.

I googled it, and people have noticed -- but it hasn't made headline news.

Anyone else notice?

YT has always had a problem of reporting real-time "likes, dislikes and views".

Sometimes you will see videos with more likes than views.

I thinks it's in their programming....or something like that.

Not sure you know how youtube works.

About 2 years ago youtube implemented a "hold" process on video views.

The hold process is to weed out videos they don't agree with, say a racist or extremist video gets a lot of views, or say a political video they don't agree with gets a lot of views, Youtube/Google are there to squelch the "issue", they are there to suppress their own users.

The 301+ views for a video that should have 300,000 views is normal, and has been normal for the past 2 years for anyone who uses youtube regularly, we have known about this.

After a few days, sometimes a week, if the video is given the OK it can reach PSY status, if it's given the NIX it will have no chance of reaching the illuminati stamp of approval PSY status. This is how youtube works and has worked ever since Youtube was purchased by Google but specifically for the past 2 years.

You cannot broadcast yourself, their slogan is void.

Pretty much this!
Except I think up until a few days ago, it was just "301" views. Their last update was super important... They added the "+" bit!

Not correct.

There is no hold process, it stops at 301 to count legitimate views.

Going on, viewing for 1 second and leaving is not classed as a legitimate view. Its to weed out bots, and people artificially inflating views to get up the rankings by refreshing the page every few seconds.

There are plenty of articles and videos explaining this process...its nothing to do with weeding out political, or racial content...thats done by flagging...by users. Some key words will attract attention by the Google computers and wont monitize a video, it wont stop you from uploading.

Why spread bs????

The + was added because of theories like yours
People were claiming it stopped counting due to some kind of conspiracy...like yours for example, but in reality the views are mounting up..hence the + Its just making sure they are real views and not a computer refreshing, there is no conspiracy!!!

I just checked out a Justin Bieber video, and to my surprise, there is not a single dislike...that is saying something

That must mean my videos all have no dislikes anymore

Dislikes still show on your video manager page. Youtube has had some glitches the last couple of days, unable to upload, wont save monitization on the first attempt, wont save changes to the basic info on the first attempt.

I have videos with dislikes, i can see it in my video manager, but when i view it as you would there are no dislikes.

I believe this probably has something to do with an upgrade on the system, much like the + we now see on videos stuck on 301

Doubt its been hacked....taking away dislikes is hardly worthy of a hack lol

ETA

Its a bug, confirmed by Youtube staff in this forum

If I know the googles and how they think, they're thinking that if they implement changes, sort of skewed changes, that provide you with half of something they already did, but now have a feature to tell you how to enable the other half, which was initially already enabled by default as part of the overall feature, and then tell you it's a long laborious process to access the other half but by doing so it will only affect this one situation, that they have somehow implemented a QUALITY FEATURE. And one they won't take no guff about. You will love it and you will comply. It's policy.

Moderate safe search springs to mind. On, Off. Or.. how about On, and Really on! That will save you the effort of having all those naughty images appear unless you specifically look for it. Full goryporn or knitting needles. ITS YOUR CHOICE !
