THE body of a Kurdish contractor missing for three months was found in a deserted area today outside the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, an Iraqi
official said.
A pastor wandering with his sheep in Abbasiyah, 80 kilometres southwest of Kirkuk, stumbled upon a badly decomposed corpse and contacted authorities,
said Major General Anwar Mohammed of the Iraqi National Guard.
The body is believed to be that of Youssef Ahmed, a contractor who did business with the Iraqi interim government and coalition troops, who was
reported missing three months ago, he said.

It was clearly an execution as Ahmed was found with a bullet wound to his head
and his hands tied behind his back. Ahmed was reported missing 3 months ago.
To me this fact seems inconsistent with the the execution of other hostages, as there was
no attempt to claim his death as propaganda...trophy.
