Awesome amplification of the glory of the Day of the Lord!

The 4th commandment is not to "keep Holy the Day of the Lord" but rather "keep Holy the Sabbath day of the Eternal". So the Sabbath Day commanded to be kept forever as a "sign/mark" that you are God's people is the 7th day Sabbath of the Eternal.

However, this OP is about the "Day of the Lord". Which is awesome because it is not a future day anymore, but it is the YEAR YOU ARE LIVING IN NOW!!!!

ISAIAH 34:8
" For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion."

The actual length of time the "Day of the Lord" lasts is not a single 24 hour day, but rather a year on Earth.

The "Day of the Lord" began on Petecost 2012 (May 27th, 2012). And it ends on Pentecost 2013 (May 19th, 2013).

During this "Day" all of the trumpets of Revelation will sound and all of mankind's civilizations built during the last 6000 years of human history, apart from the will of God will be destroyed and the Kingdom of God will be established over all the Earth. Take every single beautiful refference you mentioned in the OP and apply it to the year we are living in NOW.

Shortly this planet will be trust into the final war of the age, begining with the sounding of the 2nd trumpet. And than God will accomplish all he said He would in the awesome scriptures you provided in the OP.

Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world, but all men will not be saved. Many will reject Jesus Christ. To say that everyone will be saved is a lie!

Jesus Christ is the gate that leads to the Father. To climb up any other way or attempt to go to the Father any other way except through him is futile.

Buddha, Mohammad, Krishna, Allah, all are false gods! Jesus Christ was the only one raised from the dead to become Lord of Lord's and King of Kings. The Almighty God's only begotten Son! And, through him only is salvation.

The World for the most part are following the lies of The Devil straight to the lake of fire that burns forever! Only through Jesus Christ will there be Eternal Life!

All religions do not lead to life! Jesus Christ is the only way that leads to life, period!

It has been the agenda of the fallen Angel, Lucifer ever since Adam and Eve to keep mankind blinded to the truth that there is only one true God, Creator of heaven and earth.

The devil has blinded the eyes of mankind and has done an incredible job in keeping mankind busy with mankind's perception of truth.

It is not that we are so special, but God chose Israel as His. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Israel became a nation in 1948 after being dispersed among the nations for almost 2,000 years. The process of the Jews returning back to the land promised to Abraham and his descendents is an ongoing process but it began in 1948. Israel is God's prophetic time clock. The Generation that sees the (fig tree) nation Israel being born in one day is the generation that is declared, will not pass until the events prophesied in Matthew 24 take place.

This is not my own interpretation. This is the Word of God. To not see prophecy being fulfilled regarding end time events is just not having a clear understanding of the Word of God.

We who are watching are not in darkness. We see Bible prophecy being fulfilled and the clock started ticking when Israel became a nation in 1948.

The above list is by far and I mean WAY BY FAR an incomplete list of all the different faiths out there beyond my four walls. Just wanted to show maybe a tip, a very small tip of the enormous ice burg called Religious Faiths. Out of the hundreds if not thousands more not mentioned, I will mention one more that is not listed above which is I would prefer to call rather than a Religion, I call a STATE OF BEING. In this state, my standing with the Father may fluctuate. I may be in fellowship with Him one minute and out of fellowship with Him the next. This STATE OF BEING within Christianity is not being listed as a member in name only but in truth and spirit.

I am a Born-Again Christian. That is the difference than being a Christian in name only. Under the Title Christianity for example, millions such as Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Church of Christ, Church of God, Lutheran and the list goes on and on, fall under the umbrella of Christianity, right?

The sad state of affairs however is, a person is not saved by being a member of any certain Religion. As a matter of fact, by much historical evidence all roads lead to Rome. And, the Vatican, the Roman Catholic Church is THE MOTHER OF HARLETS which will be the instrument in Satan's hand to bring all faiths together to bring about a One World Order, One World Religious System and to promote the worship of a World Leader called The Man of Sin, The Anti-Christ. Anti, in this sense means instead of.

The Pope will be the instrument in the hands of Satan to bring Islam and Catholicism and all other faiths together. The by-phrase that is very dangerous is that we all worship the same God only by different names. This is a lie from the pit of Hell.

God did not lie when He declared that the False Prophet would cause the whole world fallow after and to worship the Beast.

There is only, ONLY one gate that leads to life and that gate is The Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus spoke to a religious leader of his day on earth and declared, "YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN."

All roads lead to Rome. The only road that leads to The Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and Earth is the road that leads to the Cross of Calvary. Christ's death, burial and resurrection is the means by which a man can be born-again of God's spirit. There is salvation by no other. Jesus said, "I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life!

All other ways are lies and deception. All other ways lead to Rome. It is Mystery Babylon. She is the Mother of Harlots

Speaking of Babylon, God declares, Come out of her. Flee out of the midst of Babylon and deliver everyman his soul. (Jeremiah 51:6a)

Every knee will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. That is prophecy! That is future but it could be present if all reading this would go ahead and confess his lordship now.

Revelation 6
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Jesus is Lord. The 6th seal is the day of the wrath of the Lamb. Therefore it's the Day of the Lord.

Why? I'll give you 2 reasons.

1. The Matthew 24 fig tree parable/prophesy.

In Matthew 24 Jesus compares end time events with a fig tree leafing out in the spring. Once a end time event happens the entire Apocalypse would happen in the lifetime of the "generation". And the problem is that one has already happened. The birth of the nation of Israel in 1948. A end time event predicted in multiple places in the bible. Ezekial 38 and Hosea for example.

This would mean a timer started in 1948 or slightly earlier. So that would mean the Apocalypse is going to be 65 years old in May.

2. The day of Jezreel prophesy of Hosea. In this prophesy a timeline about Israel is given. And after working out all the details what happened was this. In the first century AD a 2000 year Leviticus 26 curse was triggered. See Hosea 6-2. And it's still running. The cause of the curse was in Malachi and Matthew 17. As Jesus Christ claimed John the Baptist was supposed to be Elijah the Prophet. A part of what was to happen in the 1st century AD. But the problem was he wasn't supposed to have been killed. So in killing him Israel got knocked into a 2000 year detour to the day of Jezreel.

And it appears the curse ends in the 2020's. Which is where Matthew 24 seems to indicate the Apocalypse is over. Assuming a 80 year lifespan for the people considered part of the generation.

Those that beleive Gods salvation (Yahoshua) is NOT saving ALL mankind are rejecting Yahoshua....some will do it out of ignorance some out of the hate and fear of religion. The Old Testament Day of the Lord has two purposes; the saving of God's people and the suppression of the wicked

The New Testament version is the same thing, except that Paul now calls it "the day of the Lord Jesus".

Amos ch5 vv18-20 is not talking about the arrival of the next Sabbath. Read it and see.
In fact none of the OT references to "Day of the Lord" are about the Sabbath, because that usage arrived with the N.T.

I know it seems to be a long time coming but I really think it's soon. as Leonsis pointed out, Israel returned to nationhood in 1948 (as prophesied) and began the final chapter. Read Matthew 24 and it's like reading the newspaper.
I really think it will be soon, in my lifetime.
