Has "The Quickening" begun?

Art Bell used to make reference to a phenomena he called "the quickening" (an homage to the movie "Highlander"); a phenomena that would send all of humanity across the threshold of a complete paradigm shift. Art would relate current world events that, when combined, would seem to implicate a society spinning ever further out of control... and not just man made or man manipulated events, but the world as a whole. I am increasingly convinced that this "quickening" has indeed started, and things will get a whole lot uglier before we see a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.

Just look at world events over the last 9 months or so.

Benghazi. Conspiracy and cover-up written all over it. Only the survivors know what truly happened, and they have been effectively gagged.

U.S. elections. One of the most debated, protracted, convoluted election cycles in history. Was the vote fixed? Was Obama "placed" in office? The voting irregularities were nationwide by both sides... are the elections just for show?

Iran. How far are they really from being a nuclear state? Who is pulling their strings?

N. Korea. What are their nuclear capabilities? Is Kim Jong Un even in charge, or are his generals? Will they restart a 60 year old war?

China. An enigma wrapped in a riddle. Are they privately backing DPRK and Iran while they continue to support U.N. sanctions? Will they go after Taiwan? Philippines? Will they use the DPRK to draw the United States into a world war?

Russia. Hit by a meteor on the same day of an asteroid cosmic "near miss".

Connecticut/ Colorado mass shootings. From the beginning these both had "false flag" written all over them. ATSers didn't even have to stretch the truth to provide evidence that these were false flags; the media and government did enough of that. Sad tragedies, or more pawns being moved about the game board?

Bizarre/weird/unexplained noises being hear all across the globe. Several threads here on ATS covered this. Are the noises heard on the east coast a precursor to a massive New Madrid quake? (Such noises were reported prior to the 1800s quakes). What about the same noises being heard in England? Mainland Europe? Asia?

The Papacy. For the first time in centuries a pope abdicated his papacy? Was this to usher in the so called "Peter the Roman"? Was Benedict forced to abdicate? Is Pope Frances the real deal as a reformer, or is it for show?

The global economy. It is a mess. Whether or not you subscribe to the big banking conspiracy, the evidence for an upcoming "adjustment" is everywhere. Bankers call it an adjustment because their wealth remains intact. We call it a crash. It is what it is, and it is just around the corner. Metals, which had performed so well for so long, just had their prices crash... due to the central banks manipulating the prices. Nothing is safe anymore.

Science. Did they find the Higgs boson? Are they really considering using human DNA for computer processing? (Cylons maybe?) Feel free to add more to this, as I think we are messing with natural processes that should not be messed with. HAARP, chemtrails, big pharma killing us, etc etc.

The paranormal. Scientists are actually admitting that there may be life forms here with us that we don't see, hear or understand. Wow. On the face it is a fairly benign declaration, but it is a game changer as modern science has never freely admitted that there may be things they just can't understand.

Then finally the general feeling that something is coming, something beyond our grasp. Numerous threads have been started about this. It seems everywhere, just beneath the surface of our concept of things... but a persistent and pervasive feeling nonetheless.

It seems like we all post threads covering the singular events without regard to the big picture... well boys and girls it seems like the big picture is beginning to develop. I have no idea what is next, but events do seem to be accelerating.

Maybe Art had it right...

Then finally the general feeling that something is coming, something beyond our grasp. Numerous threads have been started about this. It seems everywhere, just beneath the surface of our concept of things... but a persistent and pervasive feeling nonetheless.

Its called paranoia, and it just so happens to infect a lot of people who read ATS and GLP all day.

Don't get me wrong the MSM does not help either, but threads on the internet that "tell" you that satanic aliens are about to enslave the world, or that Obama is personally watching you through the camera on your iPad do not help.

I miss Art Bell and the early days when the show was a genuine effort to dig into the concerns of normal people. Today it's just another waste of air space...

The 'quickening' is a good term and one that can be applied several different ways. I prefer the approach that the ride to the end... call it what you will, is now all down hill.

I am not a naturally paranoid person... and the feeling isn't so much a paranoia as an anticipation. It is difficult to explain... like seeing the black clouds on the horizon, but knowing the sun will be out again after the storm... you just have to ride things out...

Not a bad call for a CAT. The whole thing seems to be slowly crumbling because the economies of the world aren't real and deceit is everywhere disguised as reality.

I didn't mention Boston as it is being covered so well on ATS at the moment... but I shuddered when I read on CNN this morning that this is our "new normal"... eesh

Well as someone who believes precognition is impossible, I think that someone claiming that something "great is on the horizon" is somewhat absurd.

Not to mention such thoughts can reinforce irrational beliefs, as unexpected tragic events have happened randomly throughout history.

I mean if a nuke went off tomorrow anywhere in the world I could see people screaming "SEE I TOLD YOU SOMETHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!" That is why every time something major happens we get a bunch of threads claiming that someone "predicted the event".

By they way...

That poster was speaking of how "they" are claiming that desert varnish might be related to an unseen entity or lifeforms that exist in the spectrum we cannot see.

To the OP, I am not familiar with the quickening but have noticed there appears to be an acceleration but my theories will not settle well with you and most of ats.


I believe there is a form of mass minority reporting involving future events and the way it's being handled is compounding problems exponentially. Trying to prevent this event is forcing nature to correct the mishandling of prevention, it cannot be prevented so extreme measures are to be taken to reduce effects.


In short, if it ain't broke don't fix it, this apparent fixing is causing even more problems.

This also refers to time wave zero. Take what you want from it if you have read the texts. If you are paying attention you will see that things are at a pace now that can not be stopped. Everything is heating up in a shortened time span that will eventually come down to minutes.

There is no doubt about world affairs. The time has come and there will be a reckoning. What that is, we will see but we are witnessing history, as we speak.

Firstly remember that Coast to Coast is hosted by Clear Channel which is globalist media. You will never hear the word Zionist in any broadcasts so don't ever believe that you are getting the inside scoop listening to George Noory or Art Bell. You are never on the cutting edge of events with C to C no more than with Alex Jones. These shows are kindergarden for what is really happening and who is in control.
As for a quickening, you are correct, events are speeding up. The major problem is that America is populated for the most part by socialistic morons who relish the nanny state. They want to live in the hear and now and revel in the false reality that the MSM feeds them constantly. News is fed to the public in small bytes and is analyzed for them. Critical thinking is no longer necessary.
- The public wants to hear about green shoots and how the economy and job growth are picking up and forget the reality that GATT, WTO and the Trans pacific Partnership are trade agreements that are designed to transfer all manufacturing jobs to Asia or Mexico; remember that giant sucking sound. 7 out of 10 GM cars are produced outside the US. GE is not a manufacturing but a finance company.America exports military hardware and cardboard. The recovery is an illusion.
- The MSM has been co-opted by the zionists. It is designed to spin reality and entertain you. Your are told "N. Korea who has nukes is not a problem but Iran who doesn't have any is the bad guy.
- The education is designed to spew out morons
- The bankrupting of the middle class is in high gear. They are squeezed by growing debt and a loss of high paying jobs.

- Agencies of government like the FDA and SEC are revolving doors to industry and are no longer about protecting Americans
- Politicians cannot be elected without contributions from special interest groups including AIPAC, big agra, big pharma etc. In other words only globalists are elected. You need id to get a driver's licence but not to vote. Voting in America is a rigged game. Your vote no longer matters.
- The economy is collapsing at an accelerating rate through currency devaluation (money printing), huge deficit spending by the government, and personal debt levels which are unsustainable. Spending programs are designed with will destroy the economy(Cloward Piven strategy). This is the communist model to destroy a nation from within. Nobody cares
- Taxes are rising mostly indirectly (Obamacare and other bills with hidden tax increases) while MSM talks about taxing the rich. The income gap has never been greater.
- Individual rights continue to disappear by legislation introduced by compromised legislators, and the constitution is constantly being eroded.
- The surveillance grid is expanding. Bluffdale will soon be ready and black boxes in cars like cell phones will be tracking you wherever you go. Dones will watch from the skies.
- Big pharma and big agra poison you and are granted immunity by the gov't. Control food and water and you control the population.
- Infiltration and corruption of all government agencies including the Pentagon and CIA by zionists (bankers). Infiltration of churches including the vatican to control religion.
- Destruction of sovereignty though massive immigration by peoples with disparate cultural backgrounds.

- There is little left to accomplish by the globalists, just the gun grab. Fortunately this will not be completed by Obama as it will be too controversial to do so with a black president. The elites are likely to wait for a country boy innocuous looking president like Jeb Bush to finish the job. I believe we are good to 2016 and then there will be chaos and war, and a brutal purge, ushering in a neo feudal NWO hosted by Zionists who will be every bit as compassionate and benevolent as the Communist Bolshevik jews were in Soviet Russia. Who says that history doesn't repeat itself.
In closing, the slower the quickening the better it will be for all of us. In my case I am disgusted and fed up. Someone please press the reset button.

Absolutely spot on Cray-Richard. A brilliant post. In my opinion it is not a one way street though. I believe that a growing number of people are becoming aware of the tightening noose. A lot of those occurances are unfortunately inevitable but there is opposition. Im interested in seeing how this rival world bank being set up will do. Im fascinated by the fact that countries are now excluding the dollar( the world reserve currency) from commodities trading will affect things.

One last thing though. You refer to sovereignty and Mexican and Asian people taking over manufacture. Whats happening there, thanks to globalisation there is an equalisation occurring between the first world and the third world. The first worlds standard of living drops and the remainder of the worlds population rises to a nexus point a bit like a supply and demand graph. This is a good thing as by deign of birth why should one people have more than another becuase of blind luck? No lads its up to the unfortunate people of the first world whose position of advantage is being eroded, to innovate to stay ahead.

I believe humanity is robust and flexible and because of the nature of the internet, if there malign forces manipulating world events to a terrible conclusion, they will be quickly found out and exposed. In my opinion there are no underlying enemies, just greed.

I photographed this at Broad St/Washington Ave in Philadelphia on April 15. You mentioned art as a catalyst for the quickening. Its meaning is open to interpretation, but change is inevitable.

Whether anyone believe in Jesus or not; We are living in the end times. The disaster/crisis of Fukushima was the warning for mankind. Pick any year at random sinc e WWII and you can list out "major" events in that year that point to a similar situation, especially when the assessment of some situations is pure fiction (ie most ATS conspiracies)

I think people in the sixties had much more life changing events : the assasination of kennedy, cuban missile crises (we were a finger press away from nuclear annihilation!)

ATS does not help with the amount of paranoia and/or obscene desire for a disaster and people quoting each other, posting youtube videos etc etc and all based on nothing but the imagination of fertile minds.
