Yes...I do love piano music, I've always been drawn to it. I come from a musical family and as a young girl I decided it was something I would like to play. But to be quite frank I was absolutely crap at it! lol
After some attempts at perseverance and exploring other instruments I discovered I didn't really have a musical bone in my body as far as talent was concerned.
BUT I decided that my talent was in the appreciation of music
lol

My son plays in an orchestra and is enjoying the trombone at the moment...I really do get a lot of pleasure out of his love and enjoyment of music and get some solace out of the fact the musical gene seems to have passed to him

I really like both those pieces you posted, thank you for sharing them with me..I shall be popping in this thread more often

Thats great to hear about your son and cool that your family is musical! And I am glad you enjoyed that piano music.

If you ever have the time, this piece is quite on the long side, but as a more recent discovery of mine it has been one of my favorite piano pieces lately.

I know it's another contemporary composer...but I have been listening to Brian Crain lately ....

Thank you for your last suggestion I will go check it out....I don't think I've listened to it before

Thanks! Contemporary composers are certainly welcome, and encouraged, I am not too familiar with contemporary as when I fell in love with classical music I decided to start from the beginning and havent made it out yet.
