I keep hearing everybody saying that this Unnatural an thats unnatural. I do understand that things such a cloning and stem cell research need to be debated. But there is no such thing a Unnatural.

First when people say nature you think of trees and plants and animals. But we must relies that all of the universe is part of nature.

Second humans are part of nature as well. they are part of the animal world. And how ever strange are behavior is, it is still natural

third all things from uranium to hydrogen are natural since they exist and make are universe (nature)

So anything that occurs in the universe is natural or could not occur in a natural universe.

Three strange things in the world: loving war more than peace, loving excess more than sufficiency, and loving falsehood more than truth

Yes, but would you say that the chemical injections to mothers that cause deformed babies are natural?

I find things that happen in "Nature" to be natural. I also hold to the conclusion humans are nothing more than parasites working against nature. After all we have caused more death and destruction and torment than we have done good.
Not to mention the loss of natural resources, say the rainforest. Was the destruction of that natural, NO! we did it, not nature, she didnt chop down millions of trees for simple greed of money.
I refuse to appoligize, as I don't exactly like the species I belong to. Hopefully we as a whole will realize our mistakes before its too late, though I believe it already is.

Thats my opinion.

Is it natural when a termite destroys a tree? Humans are just capable of doing more damage to the environment than any other species.
And just because we're advanced enough to mix chemicals and produce drugs doesn't make those things unnatural.

Although i agree with you that we seem to be competing against our environment at times and should become more responsible.
I assume we're the only species that would be capable of wiping itself out....

What wouldn't be natural is to have the intellect to invent the chainsaw, yet try and cut a tree down as a beaver might.
Parasite? No more so than anything else. We live on this earth just like everything else.

Blaming us for the extinction of this or the disappearance of that is to say we are doing something unnatural, but in fact, this was going on before we caused any of it.

Tinker we do, there's no doubt. Again, the example of planting a darned tree everywhere there's space is an example. There are more trees on North America now than there was before the first evil white man appeared on the continent. Does that make it better? No. It only makes eco-freaks feeeeeeel good, and that is what matters to them. If they wanted to better the environment they'd create grasslands. The grass is much more efficient at all the give trees credit.

Except shade. grassland sucks when it comes to shade.

Cause doesn't imply unnatural. Was the asteroid that caused the dinosaur extinction unnatural?
We CAN cause extinction if we try, but it would still be natural. (imagine rounding up all the snow leopards on earth, to either destroy or save and preserve.)
I think that, more than any other organism on earth, (with possible exception of some viruses) that we simply have greater POTENTIAL to change the world. That it would always be natural change there is no doubt, as we are natural and the results of our behaviour is natural.

This is why we have intellect - we have a greater responsibility than, say, a deer. We can inflict more damage or more benefit to our world and ourselves than any other creature on earth. And the ability to choose wisely requires intellect.

I still say that the fact that it is possible and does occur makes in natural. The question is of morality and has nothing to do with nature.
