Brooklyn neighborhood on police lockdown following protest

rt.com

More than a hundred people are marching through the East Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, where 16-year-old Kimani Gray was shot 11 times by police on Saturday.

Riot police are reportedly on their way, as participants in the march are said to be throwing bottles and rocks at police cars and property.

There have been several stories in the news lately about the NYPD. One I've been following is the shooting of Kimani Gray. There seems to be some question as to whether or not he was armed when he was shot.

The official story states that he was armed and indeed a gun was found at the scene but other witnesses have reported that he was unarmed.

This story is breaking now and ongoing reports are pending.

I have not seen this posted nor did a search of his name turn up any threads.

The police can only murder us, our dogs, kids, grandmothers etc. for so long.

I feel no remorse for any officer that gets hurt.

Sorry, but you thugs brought it upon yourselves.

He can be armed all he wants. Did he point his guns at the cops? Trust me even if he wasn't armed its not hard to plant a gun and say he was. Happened a lot here after Katrina. They are going down for it now. Don't trust everything the cops say.

As for the protest. That's against the new constitution. Duh!

Handy I do feel that way sometimes. There are good cops though. Cops that try to stay out of the drama. not abuse power, and actually try to help. I can't say don't blame all over a few bad eggs. Cause most are bad eggs now. Trust me know I know some honest cops still. Few and far between, but we still have some good ones.

That gun was too pretty to be "owned" by a kid... someone took care of that pistol... like a cop.

You never know with RT news but it seems something is going on.

Those cops better get things in order. Those people are rioting on speculation. It's unfortunate that people have to act like uncivilized animals because they don't like cops.

I agree that there are supposed to be good cops out there.

What have they done lately to reign in the bad ones though?

Agreed, I only hope the police wake up, before too manh come to harm, as it is obvious across the nation that the people are approaching their threshold for abuse and corruption.

Only 3 out of 10 Americans trust the government, I think that speaks volumes.

Looks like police got a new rule: Shoot first ask questions later.
Just a few months back here in the Netherlands a boy got shot at the trainstation because they believed he had a gun on him and was reaching for it. NO GUN WAS FOUND. Police are giving themselves a bad name with all the idiots with a badge and a gun. Feel sorry for the few cops who actually do their best to protect and serve
