I have a theory on how different people get a SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT.
1. Some people get a sense of achievement by telling lies to make themselves look better or to make others look worse.
2. Some people get a sense of achievement by conspicious consumption. Buying things that lose money, lose it fast and get them noticed.
3. Others get a sense of achievement by achieving things.
Type 1 people probably need to spend some money to make it look good.
Type 2 people spend all their money to get what they want.
Type 3 people: money does not necessarily move at all and generally will move to them.
Large corporations can get some of type 1's money, all of type 2's money, but none of type 3's.
Therefore large companies will not think it is in their interest to have people trying to achieve on mass.
Meaning human progression is held back by marketing.
