Not sure on lost in space, but the Enterprise relied on deuterium fuel. It was mixed with antimatter in the warp core.

I thought Lockeed skunk works only developed top secret aircraft.

This Lockheed Reactor is clearly superior to option being developed in France.
It looks like Lockheed is providing "tech assist" to the Europeans!

Star Trek hired technical consultants to review the scripts, Lost in Space obviously didn't, but it's hard to understand how they could be so clueless even without technical consultants. In Lost in Space they were a million miles away and they made it sound like they were in the next solar system, but that's only 4 times the distance to the moon...pretty clueless writers on that show.

Regarding this small fusion generator, I have no idea if they will succeed or not, but I give them better odds than Rossi of actually developing a working generator. Of course, Rossi claims he's already done that, but if so, how come I can't buy one?
