This makes me think if one is an inmate at a "supermax" facility, how can outside contact
be allowed to these prisoners? After all, you don't end up in supermax for not paying parking tickets.

These are bad bad scum, yet they appear to be able to organize things from inside.
99% of prisoners in supermax are never going to be released.

AS many as six of the State's most dangerous prisoners have become supporters of terror mastermind Osama bin Laden after converting to radical Islam while in jail.

"The other inmates who are supportive are in for murder, serious assault - they are extremely dangerous in their own right.

"Prisoners convert to faith all the time, but our intelligence has revealed that up to six have taken on very extreme views that are of great concern to authorities - particularly with recent events overseas, where the prison system has been used as a recruiting ground by terrorist organisations.

A helicopter flight with a special security team will soon simulate the transfer of a convicted terrorist between jails.

This is just more scaremongering in preparation for Australia to go the same way as the US, both internally and in regards to foreign policy. Now that Bush's croney, Howard, has been voted in for another term, you'll hear more and more of this in Australia as a precursor to increased Aus military involvement in the Middle East.

Every knows TV and commisaries are in Max prisions because of the court cases of bleeding heart prisoner rights attorneys, They can see the news either by TV or news paper......Not to mention many books in the library of which I bet you will find copies of the 9/11 commission report in hard back or maybe if it has made print , Ferenheit 9/11.
