Art Bell announced last Tuesday (January 29th, 2013) that he is currently in negotiations to return to radio! He posted the message below on an Art Bell Facebook fan page linked HERE.

Within an hour of the above post he posted this message:

It's definitely Art Bell that posted the messages and not an imposter as his Facebook profile has been confirmed multiple times already by Art himself sending updated pictures of he and his wife & daughter AND pics off his new and improved home broadcasting studio to the above linked Art Bell fan page where further details can be found about the ongoing negotiations.

Art will not be returning to Coast To Coast AM, the radio show HE created in the mid-80s, but will host his own new late night radio show.

I hope all goes well...it sure would be nice to have Art back ON AIR! In the meantime everyone can get their Art Bell fix 24/7 at Fine Art: The Essential Art Bell radio stream.

Here's a picture of Art's upgraded home broadcasting studio. Nice equipment!

Yay!!!

Just yay! Noory is so smug and self-serving(and downright boring as of the last couple of years). I will tune in for sure.

Does anyone besides me remember when Art Bell used to call into his own show in different voices just to get the weirdos calling in? When he first got on the air I would lay awake for hours listening to the show. Now I use C2C radio to fall asleep as I have an utter inability to stay awake through twenty minutes of commercials and George Noory's voice.

Art was a hoot and the show has been a waste of time since he left. I would hope he starts a new show but chances are he will get pigeon holed into the new format of C2C radio.

PS
Dear Art, did it not work out with the little Filipino Princess?

Art and Airyn are doing great! They're living back in America...back in Pahrump, Nevada with their little girl Asia.

Jeezus!
I sure hope we dont have to listen to that self appointed all round egomaniacal wind bag......
I am weary from trying to listen to his interviewees try top get a word in edgewise......
The guy is a boor.
Noory aint far behind either.....just dummer

I love Art Bell, he is the classic conspiracy fear monger. His key ability comes from being able to tell the conspiracy crowds all the doom and gloom they wish were true. For example, tonight if you listen to the "Fine Art" stream its C2C from 1995 and Art is scare mongering over an Ebola virus outbreak. As with most things on C2C he makes it seem far more serious than it really is. He downplays all the news articles at the time that said it was a minor outbreak and was nothing to worry about (and they were 100% correct).

People love Art Bell because he is the classic purveyor of doom porn to conspiracy theorists. He was the first. These days youve got sites like ATS, Zero Hedge (for financial doom porn), GLP, innumerable fear mongering conspiracy podcasts, etc. But nothing is quite as entertaining as the original.

One does not win a Talk Radio Lifetime Achievement Award being a "bore."

Art Bell is light-years ahead of George Noory as a radio host. Besides no one says you have to tune in and listen to him if you don't like him.

i don't know the details, but did the 'legal action' against him returning to radio just expire?

Now there is a radio show I'll find a way to stream.

He really was the show.... Those who followed him on Coast to Coast have simply been the next best thing. Here's hoping it works out soon!

The "Legal Action" you speak of is a standard in radio...it is called a non-compete clause and usually is no longer than 5 years and yes it recently expired so he is able to return and be a host again.

If you're referring to Art canceling shows because of his back pain and how he seemed to turn into an a-hole, I believe that was all a ruse because he was upset with Premiere Radio for firing all the Seattle employees and moving the operations to Sherman Oaks, CA. Art made it clear he wasn't happy about that. He even lost his longtime web master Keith Rowland in that d*ck move.

During that time Art was trying to stick-it-to-the-man by making them play reruns at the last minute and making the show sound lame. Art was being very vindictive and cynical back then. You can always listen to Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis weeknights from 9pm-2am CST. on KXL (or shorter airings of the show now syndicated).

Anyways, I guess haters gonna hate. You're entitled to your opinion.

lol That article is obviously from way back when. Nice try though!

Art stated earlier THIS year that if he came back to radio many of his creative demands would have to be met AND he didn't want to be in a timeslot that would make him go up against Coast To Coast AM. It will be interesting to see what unfolds.

Maybe: The Art Bell Show - weekdays from 8am-12pm lol That'd be awkward. Art always said he was a nightowl but ya never know...

I wish Art Bell was returning to Coast to Coast. I really dislike the style of George Noory. He's not intelligent at all and does not ask intriguing questions to his guests. I wonder if George Noory will be tossed as he will lose going toe-to-toe with Art Bell!

Wow, this is great news!

Didn't he have cancer though? What's the deal with that, has he been cured?

That would be awesome! Hope it happens.

Cool now I can have 2 good things to listen to. Art just seemed to ask what I would ask how I would ask it.
I appreciate his style.

Art is my favorite, the most genuine voice in the night, he knows how to INTERVIEW and not be the star which makes him a far superior choice in all things Fringe.

Please let this be true!!!
