But surely someone was aware. The US government can't write, edit, print and ship millions of violent, Muslim fundamentalist primers into Afghanistan without somebody in high places (in the US government) approving those primers.

Why? Why think that most of them can even understand it? Where does it say that the gov is actually producing the books, or are they just prividing the funds to have them sent? Why only the washington post? Itsn't it one of hte more admin friendly papers?

Ah, there it is. And its the same group that is making the new textbooks. Wonderful.
