Testimony of Kerry Lovgren

All of us know the band Kansas, but do you know the story behind the songs?

"On September 1, 2009, Livgren suffered a stroke early in the day. His condition was reported as "serious, but stable."[8] By Sept. 4, family members called his condition positive and said his progress in recovering was encouraging.[9] Livgren underwent surgery and received two stents in his carotid arteries. The area of his brain in which the stroke-causing clot formed deals with language and other high-end skills. Livgren's family says his face did not have the "sagging" often found in stroke victims, he recognized family members, and would squeeze their hands in recognition. The family established the Kansas band Web site as the only authorized source for information on Livgren's recovery.[10] Livgren has now recovered partially and has resumed work on his various musical projects." Wikipedia

He had a different idea, you might have heard His name
He gave us all a new vision, not looking for fortune or fame
His works were a wonder to speak of, His thoughts on another plane
The words that He said were a mystery, no one was sure He was sane

But He knew, He knew more than me or you
No one could see His view, oh, where was He going to?
And He knew, you could tell by the picture He drew
It was totally something new, oh, where was He going to?

He said that He was the answer, the only one near or far
He was trying to show us a new way, He was bright as a star
But nobody understood Him, they said He was not the way
They were lost in the deepest enigma, that few have unraveled today

But He knew, knew what He had to do
Those who belived Him were few, oh, what would He have us do?
And He died, so that justice was satisfied
When He left us the people cried, oh, where was He going to?

He had a different idea, the Master knew the plan
He could see into the future, a true visionary man
The truth is all that He told us, He died but He lives again
He will return to be with us, but who will be ready then?

'Cause He knew, all about me and you
All of His words were true, oh, where was He going to?
Yes He knew, You could tell by the picture He drew
It was totally something new, oh, help us to follow You

Nice new avatar EWR.

I heard Kerry's testimony while I was still a Christian. I still have his double CD titled, "Decade". I may not agree with his beliefs, but he made some awesome music. I still pull out his stuff occasionally, and have a listen.
