Or destroy/crush/shatter the sensitive components within the satellite/humans?
Originally posted by LucidFusionPretty interesting approach for satellite launch, though I imagine it would take some serious tweaking to increase the payload to include passengers/crew. Would definately make for a hell of a launch to anyone on board.

Well the solid rocket boosters used on the shuttle were used for years without the outside being changed. They only rebuilt the inside portions of them.
SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 to revolutionize space technology, with the ultimate goal of enabling people to live on other planets.

Mark my words, spacex is going to achieve wondrous feats in a short time frame.
It's team of the falcon 9 and heavy has already given them numerous contracts in worth of 4 billion dollars.
They have 50 launches on they'r manifest, more than anyone in the world.
I believe that they are going to have a joined mission with Nasa to Mars in 2025 utilising spacex's raptor engines with liquid oxygen and methane that would along with they'r resuable rocket cut prices drastically.
And after that, somewhere around the 50s, they'r going to have a colony of a few hundred, maybe even thousand people.
