As the old pipe sizzles and words dribble
As time itself starts to spizzle
And the World's champagne glasses fizzle
I will leave this horrible phrase that rymes with fizzle that I suddenly hate
And I will move on to a phrase that could be suddenly great!
Let's contemplate
For a moment that time is speeding up.
That time is speeding up and the world is winding down
That things that matter now won't be around for to long
I want to try and make a point
To this freeform verse, so long
But I if I must, then I must impress with this freeform poem
That we should make hast and dare not waste
The time we have left before the storm.
