You can't knock out the system, because all the street lights can talk to each other, and bypass any spy module, er, street light you might... accidentally hit.

Boy, some ingenious hacker is going to have a ton of fun with this, once they figure out how to exploit it....

I'm actually hoping that crap happens. I wonder if someone set it up to broadcast a retro pornographic audio tape...
Not for the audio, just to see if it could be done, and show these fools it's a failure of a technology and impractical for our society.

Maybe it will catch all the bad Cops out there. They can't lie anymore and get away with saying you did something or admitted to something that you really didn't if it's on camera.

So.... look at it that way.

maybe in my country as an electronic identity card?? so anyone anywhere can be tracked? especially with sensors on street lights??

I love how everything is recorded. I envision a world one day where every action, every sound is recorded, and we reality TV can just be cut together from that. Directly uploaded to YouTube...

That's pretty creepy.
We already have cams all over the place now in cities, and the only thing missing is the sound, so these should fix that problem

The street sign that changes seemed just stupid to me...why would you want a street sign to say anything else but the street name? Just put a temporary sign below it if there's a temporary situation, but people still need to know street names.

I already knew this, that my streetlight is a monitoring device.
But I had no 'evidence' just a gut (intuition) feeling.

I found it strange that it took two teams to change a dead bulb!
And why was my pavement marked with a red PSY sign after?

And while they were changing the bulb, one of the teams was looking into my front room the whole time and not next doors, not even once. I knew because I was monitoring them.
