right... your historical readings are correct, but incomplete. during clinton's terms in office, he repeatedly did nothing about the fact that our once allies in the middle east turned on us. the first WTC bombing wasn't during reagan's or bush 41's term, was it? no. what about the bombing of the u.s.s. cole and the embassies in africa? what about sudan in 1996 offering bin laden to clinton? clinton "passed on the offer."

did we help some of our now enemies? yep! were they our enemies on a republican president's watch? nope!

let's look at the whole picture here.

Saddam felt that he could move with relative impunity after the Iran/Iraq war as the U.S. backed him and armed him to the teeth. So he invades Kuwait. A coalition drives him out, but instead of toppling his government we set up shop in Saudi Arabia, much to the dismay of bin Laden and other followers of his particularly warped brand of Islam. His people begin attacking us through terrorist ventures. Now, who established the base in Saudi... Clinton? Ah, no, it was Bush the first. Who trained bin Laden in gurella tactics to fight the Soviet menace? Bush the first. Who repeatedly dropped the ball when it came to dealing with terrorists? Clinton.

Whose fault is it, us. We keep putting these people in office don't we?

i don't think there is enough emphasis on CLINTON here. how can you blame bush 41 for saddam turning into a tyrant. who could have forseen that? no damn one. but while he was thumbing his nose at the UN, building his arsenol and killing his own people by the herds, clinton allowed the UN to made a joke of by not leaning on them. that's the problem here. clinton didn't even ACT like he cared about the bull# going on over there. it's distrubing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not trying to claim sainthood for Clinton.. far frim it. But when you make accusations and throw stones throw them at everyone responsible, not just the one most convienent for your own personal ideology.

So, how couuld he know that they are against reality tv like he is? Hey, its something he has in common with them! reagan and bush 41 were not in office when these "SOBs" were plotting 9/11 though. see what i'm saying? the united states helps arm a truck-load of nations. who's able to forcast when one particular wing nut is going to stray from the herd and declare himself a tyrant? if someone had that ability, they'd be a foreign policy saint! we would have no wars because we'd be able to cut the problems off before they can occur. sorta like a world version of "the minority report."
