"Your first link says that the problem of aging will be conquered in the year 2008.

I don't remember that happening."

Hi,

It has been happening to the people who got enlightenment.
Because they have connected to their soul, and the soul is ageless.

edit on 18-11-2012 by vnmusic because: miss a word

If the soul is ageless ( which I can believe ), what exactly is meant by the statement that I originally commented on?

Here it is again:

“The first problem eliminated by this so-called ‘Parliament of sages’ (7) will be human aging,” LaFobruge says. “By 2006, they will have solved the problem – and no one need ever grow old again

"human aging" it says.
If the soul is ageless, what are they referring to when they speak of "human aging"? Not the soul, apparently.

Maybe they were speaking of the body?

There are enlightened humans that can live a long time in this world. As long as we consider
them "ageless". You may have heard about spiritual master that is few hundred years old
who live on Himalaya. Even thousand of years old.

They can do that because they have unlocked the inner power within them.
This is what we call "meditation". By meditating with a correct technique, one
can cleanse his body (by eliminating the old body tissues and creating new fresh tissues).

That's what the article means; when a person who got enlightenment can be ageless and can choose to live
in this physical world a long time.

Of course, you don't read this on mainstream news like CNN but it exists.

Well, we are getting somewhere now. They were referring to the physical body then.

Since there are masters that are hundreds of years old already, I suppose the problem of aging was solved at least a hundred years ago.

Why did the 'parliament' have to solve it again in 2006?

Yes, the problem of aging has been solved long time ago (to those who know how).

I think what the article means is:

- even the problem of aging has been solved, but that secret was kept out of the public

- until 2006 (even before 2006), the correct way of meditation was published ("solved") and
introduced to the public and for those who believe in it will "never grow old again" (that is
the physical body can fight many diseases and their soul becomes ageless).

cheers,
